Drilling one hole? Not a big deal with a regular hole saw…. Drilling multiple? This will save you loads of time and frustration!Drilled 40 gourds for birdhouses without stopping a single time for clearing the bit! That single use alone made this set worth the price.Keep your old set for drilling smaller holes through thick material singe the arbor on these it wider than some of the bits limiting depth.

The only thing that I wished these bits did better was actually cut the wood a little bit quicker. The teeth on it are not as deep or as sharp as I would like but it did get the job done as I was cutting holes in a 2 x 4 stud to run wire through. I had to move the bit around a little bit and shift weight to keep the teeth cutting. it served his purpose, but would like to have seen it cut through the wood a little quicker and easier

Releasing the hole saw bit, to empty the debris, can be difficult when drilling holes in a 5 gallon plastic bucket. I emptied the bit after each hole.

My use for this is making holes in wood for which it works great.

Did what I needed it to do

I do home remodeling work for a general contractor - this has saved me a lot of time and frustration when I need to drill multiple holes in wood and drywall.We just finished a large bath remodel where these came in quite handy.I am looking forward to using these for future projects because of their ease of use and quick change ability.

Worth the cost for sure. First precision hole set I've owned that actually does the job instead of spitting wood and traveling all over. Just clean and a really nice feel when it's done.Really sturdy build all around, search no more!

Having never used a hole saw before I like that this comes as a complete set with everything I needed, plus a spare bit.The quick release is well thought out and made removing the sawed out core very, well, quick.Between each hole I had other work that needed to be done so there was a relatively short cooldown period between each use. While it was relative hot to the touch after each use, it cools off very quickly and consecutive uses cut just as fast (and more importantly, smooth).The teeth appear visually in good condition, and feel as sharp as when they were brand new out of the box, so it is holding up well. I'll update this review down the road if I feel it doesn't last as long as I expect, but so far so good.The packaging is also good, my only small suggestion would be for Disstone to affix the information paper and protective plastic to the top, so it doesn't fall out and get in the way every time you open the case. This is easily fixed with a bit of double sided tape though so no big deal.

I'm happy I searched for new and improved hole saws, I found this.The quality is top notch. The design is well considered the interface between the bit and the circular saw is a large diamiter so there's little play and I imagin more risilance to damage from high touque.The hex bit also ensure your drills chuck has no slipage.Even the box it comes in surpassed exspectations.The 1 inch hole saw may be a bit pointless but I'm sure it has its aplications.

This set actually works well, have been using it commercially and bits are lasting. Impressive for the price and the quick release is super convenient, would buy this over and over
