No assembly directions
As everyone has mentioned, there are literally no assembly instructions for this grill. I'm leaving this review to hopefully save a few folks the headaches I ran into. There are two types of bolts and nuts included. Ten 13mm bolts with nuts for both side handles and two on each leg mount bracket to bottom of grill, and two 8mm bolts with nuts and rubber washers for the lid handle. The bolts for the middle hole in each leg bracket are already inside of the legs, so do not use one of the 13mm bolts here as I initially did. It took a little force bending the legs to line up the holes while installing. The wheels attach directly to the bottom grill piece, there are two black 13mm nuts to attach. It's likely common sense, but the extra handle looking piece is for hanging the lid from the grill, this attaches with the lid handle using the two 8mm bolts mentioned earlier.Assembly took me a little over an hour due to having a toddler for a helper and digging through my toolbox, could likely throw it together in fifteen minutes now though. Very simple.Anyways, I hope someone finds this review helpful. The uploaded pics on here were a huge help for me.

Junk
There must be 75 parts with no written instructions. How in hell's name in a person supposed to put this together. What a piece of crap

Knock-off looks nice but functions badly
This grill attempts to be a knock-off of the small Weber charcoal grill. It FAILS! The air vent holes on the bottom of the kettle are too small. When I cooked some hamburgers on the grill these holes became completely clogged, and the fire was extinguished for lack of air.Compared with the Weber, the grates are thinner guage metal. The adjustable vent cover disc on the grill cover is so thin its edge is a hazard. My advice - buy the Weber. That's what I'm going to do. Shame on Amazon for promoting this inferior product aa an "Amazon Basics" item.Gordon from Ohio, vacationing in N Carolina

A nice basic little grill
This went together easily for me. I also drilled a hole in the lid and added a BBQ thermometer. I would say it's pretty essential for this type of grill.I wouldn't say the grill racks are defective, but they both slide around as you are working on them. So I use a chimney starter for the charcoal and I have to pour the hot briquettes in really careful and maybe adjust once or twice if I'm raking the coals as the bottom grill they sit on will shift. The real annoyance (and danger IMO) is that top grill. Mine seemed slightly bent but not really sure....it just doesn't sit on the lip well, and slides around if you are putting food on or off. You need to have another tool to hold the grill steady while you are working. But not hard to imagine this will happen, and you just need to pay attention. The unit holds heat otherwise, and is pretty straightforward. So, I'm still happy that I got it. It's just the right size for 1 to 2 people and I think it will hold up well for a while.

Small but very efficient.
This is a grill that comes in handy when you don't feel like setting up or cleaning a larger one. Straight to the point and very easy to manage you can have grilled or barbecued food any day and not just weekends, mines sit on our wood picnic table ready to go. Removing used charcoal is a breeze and a quick rinse with hose is all you need to clean this baby, my smoke went everywhere from this tiny grill making mouths water in my neighborhood! Assembly is simple as 123 all you need is Philips screwdriver and small pliers..that's it..this grill is sturdy and not going anywhere once set up. This baby also stays hot for a long long (did I say long?) time making it perfect for barbecue or even smoking a small brisket or chicken, the only gripe I have is that you can't cook a lot at a time due to the small cooking surface. Other than that it's a sure bet you will have fun and enjoy this small wonder.

Not as good as CharGriller box
Purchased originally as a firebox for my grill. Although a generic box, it did not properly attach to my CharGriller, so I purchased the CharGriller box instead. In comparison, the Amazon box was more expensive but not engineered as well. I had to force some pieces to get them to align properly. Also, the grills plates and handle are basically throw-away items when compared to the CharGriller box. Lastly, the box got hot quickly and did an amazing job of holding heat.

NIce little grill
Wanted something a bit larger than the Weber table top grill. This one is larger but still not to big. Medium weight construction. Good buy.

Appears to have been air dropped.
Opened the box to find the entire grill skewed. Door doesn't even fully cover the opening.Left in the box to be taped shut and immediately returned.

Actually quite good, minus the sticker
Portable charcoal grill.Packaged well, arrived in a strong, cardboard box.Gorgeously designed. Black enamel coating, chrome plated grilling plates, this grill really looks the part. The grill is roughly 46cm tall. The three, strong legs, make up roughly 14.5cm of that. The lid slips slightly over the bottom part, this has a handle on top, to remove when cooking, it also has a venting system, that can be closed. The inside has a grilling plate and then an extra plate below, to keep the charcoal lower from the food. At the very base is another venting system and a ash catcher tray below that. On either side of the lower grill, is a movable carry handle, this gets warm when using the grill. This wasn't terrible to assemble, some parts were a little fiddly like the legs, you need to hold all three in at once and then screw, fiddly but manageable! All the parts were there and the instructions were very easy to follow. This all seems really well made and durable. The only thing that I wasn't to keen on, is the carry handle, when you move it to either side it creates this metal little scratching noise, nothing is actually scratched as far as I can see, but the noise... Oh my! Also, one of the legs had a sticker on, this left a lot of sticker base behind when removing it, so that was disappointing.Either way, I would recommend this, it does seem worth the price. Its a really nice design, looks versatile, it's a good size, everything has been thought out well. Brilliant for summer.

Decent Little BBQ
For a small camping group, this portable grill is the ideal camp mate. The grill doesnt have long legs so it makes it nice and portable and it doenst take up a lot of room in the car, that is likely to be packed with other camping equipment.I tested the BBQ in the backyard. I put the BBQ together, screwing on the legs was the most challenging part and I asked my son to hold the legs in place whikst I screwed them in place. Once done, the rest of the grill was easy enough. As there are no legs, I placed the grill onto a foldout table. I then placed four bricks onto the table and mounted the grill from there. I then added the charcoal and lit the grill as per the instructions. I have used BBQ's many times so I am fine with ventilating the coals to ensure the coals produced a steady heat, after 15 mins I was ready for the first round of burgers and suasages which were cooked steadily turning from time to time etc, the family really enjoyed the food and the sausages smalled great. The food produced on the grill was delicous, it isnt the biggest grill, but is more than adequate for the small camping group or a family of 4.The only downside was the handle, that is the grill handle and not the top pan handle to manage the lid. The carry wire is terribly thin. I think side clasps would have been better, the grill could then be transported using the top handle instead of the thin wire, but it does the job.

Worth at least 4.5 stars
Firstly, I must say that I really like the BBQ. It is well made, solid construction, easy to use and easy to cleanDespite the description saying it is suitable for 2 people, as the photos show, it has sufficient capacity to do a meat feast for four people.Despite all the good things, I think it only right that I should mention some negatives: - it isn't exactly compact. To fit in my wife's VW Golf, we had to remove the parcel shelf to enable it to go into the boot; it is quite tall - there is a design fault with the air inlet and smoke outlet. It you build it exactly as per the instructions, the vents would be permanently stuck in the fixed position and unable to rotate to to allow you to control the airflow. The solution it a washer and a lock-nut (M6) and this can be remedied. However, it would be wrong to take off a star for these two minor negatives, so 5 stars it is.Highly recommended, especially as the grill elements are small enough to go into the dishwasher.

Excellent
An excellent little grill for outdoors. It's nowhere near as bulky as the oversized barbecue monstrosities, but it's constructed more sturdily than most of them. The grill is simple to put together - it comes with instructions and all necessary parts. Essentially all that's involved is connecting the short legs to the grill's cylindrical body. Less than five minutes' work. The grilling area is large enough to cook food for two hungry people, or three to four smaller portions. I like the hatch's design - it's centrally located and opens vertically like a Delorean door. I prefer this feature to the equivalent on most barbecues, where the entire top flips open - not space-efficient at all. This grill is designed to be used with charcoal but I've cooked on it with wood, which worked beautifully. I've no real criticisms of the grill. It's easy to construct, easy to use, easy to clean, and made from non-toxic materials.

Perfect for beach BBQs
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I'd give this 4.5 stars if I could, it's a great BBQ for taking to the beach, which for me is just a mile down the road 😎It comes 'flat packed' but is simple enough to put together. It's sturdy enough. There's a bottom grate to sit your charcoal on which, along with small holes in the bottom of the pan, allows good air flow. There's a good size cooking grill with stable handle that is easy to put on and take off depending if you're using the lid. The lid has a circular vent that allows you to adjust the airflow and works well. The ash tray prevents hit ash falling on the ground below. My only gripe is that this is a portable BBQ but has no way of holding itself together to carry it - no clasps between lid and pan, no strap to go around the whole thing, no bag for it to sit inside. That's why I've only rated this 4 stars. I found a spare canvas bag that it can sit inside.
