The seller made no claim about it working to shield a key fob, so I cannot fault the seller. But, if you are purchasing this with that purpose in mind, don't. I sealed my key in the bag, and folded the bag over twice. When I approached my car door with it in my pocket, the doors unlocked. I really have no way of testing whether it would actually work on an EMP pulse. It seems to be the same material as the anti-static bags computer hard drives and other electronic components come in. My other intended use is to shield the id chips contained in new passports from someone with a nearby reader. Based on the performance with a car key fob, I really don't know if the bag will work. Apart from these two uses, I'm really not worried about an EMP Pulse and if it doesn't shield a car key fob, I really don't see how it will work on an EMP pulse. Only Military labs have the capability to test this, so there is really no way for an ordinary human being to test if these bags work.
