New to camping, I’ve only uses these so far in the back yard. But the first time setting up my tent - one of the stock cheap thin silver stakes broke in half while I was pushing it into the ground. Immediately went online to look for upgrades and found these. Easy to use, light, and much stronger. Should come as default with the tent.

I just purchased a Nemo Dragonfly 2P tent and used on the trail this weekend in sleet, wind and cold. Shelter performed great, no condensation, stayed warm. Now, the stakes that came with it are the Y-Shaped ones, standard with a loop notch and no cleaning biscuit to quickly scrape away soil stuck in the grooves when I pulled them up in the morning. There are 3x the grooves compared to a V-Shape, so this took some time. So I'm really interested in the mud scraper, but the ones I have DO HAVE a typical notch where the tent cords fix into. Without a notch, but with a scraping biscuit like you all have, wouldn't the loop of the tent cord simply go under the biscuit like it was the head of a nail?

I was super excited about the glow in the dark, self cleaning concept of these stakes. However, upon removing the stake from the packaging, I was a bit befuddled to find that the the stake itself is missing any kind of hook or holes at the top. I'm not sure how one is expected to actually connect any lines to the stake. The only possible connection is the loop of string that keeps the glow in the dark slider from slipping off. The string doesn't seem sturdy enough for repeated use of much more than keeping the slider attached. So for me, there's a bit of basic stake feature missing.

I bought these as a clearance item at REI. I love the fact that you can use the glow in the dark ring to clean off the majority of the mud off the stakes. That was the main reason for purchasing these.I am very happy that Amazon sells these, and I am planning on buying a few more packs to have as back up.I couldn't believe how well these glowed in the dark for as long as it did. I got up at 4 a.m. and they were still glowing. Doesn't take much light at all for these to glow.A lot of people complain about there not being a not at the top for your rope to tie off of. I am under the assumption your customers believe that the rope is just for holding the the glow in dark piece on it. Most likely, you will not be able to pull these out of the ground with your bare hands in harder, more firm dirt. You can take a stick, or another stake, and loop it through the rope loop to help pull out the stake in the ground. So, tying your rope to the loop on the stake should be okay as that is what I do. And the reason these stakes are so smooth is so dirt can be swiped clean easily and pulled out of the ground without struggle.These are very strong, next to impossible to bend. I wouldn't hammer these into the ground, but very strong, light weight stakes. Love these.

These are sturdy and light wait. If you want to you can remove the dirt remover if you are worried about wait

I bought a tent with very flimsy stakes. I was in a very small specialty shop in northern Maine and these were the only stakes available. I just bought more because I’m really happy with them. They very strong, a easy to get into the ground and do clean off easily.

RokStraps or nothing else. They’re the best nothing else comes even close.
