An impressive mini projector !
The media could not be loaded. This lenovo M1 mini lives up to its name: It weighs under one pound (0.79 pounds to be exact), but that extreme portability sadly means making some sacrifices.Indeed, don't expect to watch any movies in HD quality, since this projector has a native resolution of 854x480 pixels, but still the image quality was impressive for such resolution. Its ports are also limited to one HDMI, one USB, and a power input port. Nice to note that this projector has one integrated speaker as well, so you can share the audio of any video you're watching with your friends & family. It also can throw a maximum screen size of 110 inches, which is quite nice.On the upside, this projector gets better-than-average battery life: 1 to 3 hours, and its portability shouldn’t be overlooked. It’s possible to carry this projector in any bag without using up much room, or adding too much weight. If you plan on taking a projector with you everywhere you go, or don’t mind trading a large screen size for image quality, this is definitely the right choice.I also loved all the connectivity choices you have with this device, from the classic USB key, to WiFi and Bluetooth, and the Android-like menu, easy to navigate for someone like me who already own other Android devices, as well as the touch sensitive buttons and focus control, placed on top of the projector. Funny enough, and as you can see on my review video, the ports on this projector were so well concealed, that it took me a while to finally being able to find them !Only negative note to keep in mind though, is that copyrighted content from Hulu, Netflix, and other similar services CAN NOT be mirrored or screen-cast.Overall, i super love this mini projector, which follow my laptop bag now everywhere it goes !

4/5 - Loads of features but...
The media could not be loaded. Watch my video reviews in HD on my Youtube channel: skyforce95General Notes:Pros:-very compact size, easy to carry with you-sleek modern design-loads of features - touch controls on the projector itself, ability to screen mirror for iOS (wirelessly and via usb), Android devices, Macs, and the normal HDMI), remote can double as an onscreen cursor, bluetooth pairing to speakers-wifi capable so you can log into your Netflix account there directly-sound is passable for this size - don't expect a lot of bass but for the average person, they are adequate-display quality is good - don't expect 4k quality but it is reasonable for a projector-stays cool-fans run quietly-battery lasts about an hour on its own, which is pretty good for the size-comes with AAA batteries for the remote-ports are tucked away discreetly behind a faux cooling grill-love how the on/off is simply the lens slider opening/closing-grips on the bottom to prevent slipage on a smooth surface-there is a 3/8" thread hole at the bottom to allow the projector to be mounted on a tripodCons:-software could be easier to navigate-I think for the price the carrying case should be able to hold the project, remote, and power brick at a minimum - all you get is a basic felt drawstring bag that is only big enough to hold the projector and remote-touch controls can be finicky - particularly the manual focus controls, I find myself constantly over focusing because the controls are not precise-spelling errors and mislabeling (see pictures). Cancel spelled as 'cancle' and 'iOS' category really should be 'Apple mobile devices'-very limited port selection - USB A, HDMI, and powerConclusion:-This is a very capable mini projector without the built in software. Great performance, thermals, sound for the size. I just think the software is really disconnected from the hardware, which disrupts the user experience. Which altogether make it hard to recommend at $300+.

A projector that should have never left R&D.
* I have it on the back offset to the right in the room. I'm ok with the focus when I do it manually, but it'll keep trying to autofocus in a movie. I assume the projector only accepts center-placement. In my case, I'm using it on a nightstand next to the bed. It's not even off-center by much but that's all it takes to trigger auto-focus.* HDMI is launched through an "HdmiSwitch" application. This application does not work with the native Keystone correction.* The projector has a native resolution of 854 x 480. Unfortunately the EDID signal sent on HDMI only supports 1920x1080, 1920x1080i, 1280x1024, 1440x900, 1360x768, 1280x720, 1024x768, 800x600, 720x576, 720x480, 640x480. I would rather my computer get to send out the native resolution.* The FileExplorer supports "NetHood" but it can not connect to my NAS box. It tells me "Login failure: Try new user name/password?" My NAS box runs SMB4.0. Interestingly, the VLC app on the machine can browse my network share.* Amazon Prime Video does not run. I think the machine is underpowered to handle the DRM at 1080p, and the Amazon App doesn't have the ability to request a lower bitrate stream.* Netflix will break if you update the app. They've tried to pin it, but if you update it, you'll have to downgrade it again.* The projector was last updated in May. This is no longer a new release. I would not expect subsequent upgrades.* This projector is build by Amoowa. It's merely whitelabeled by Lenovo and does not live up to their standard of quality.Prior 4 Star Review ----Biggest gripe: guest access to samba mounts doesn't workI wish I was able to mount samba shares on my network. Unfortunately, that functionality doesn't seem to work for the device. Works on everything else though.
