Q: Does anyone know if this is good for doves?

I am breeding a ring neck and a white dove. In order for the eggs to turn out and hatch healthy chicks the male and female require a significant amount of calcium in their diet. This is because after the chicks have hatched the parents make “crop milk” and feed it to their chicks.

Q: Do you just mix this in with their regular seed/food or does it need to be given in a separate dish?

The argument for a separate dish is mostly economic, you don't need to fill it daily as long as it isn't fouled. When you first offer it, there may be a flurry of consumption. Afterwards, they eat less, choosing only certain bits that they feel the need for. But if it is easier for you, mix it up! My experiences are with a trio of canary males in a large flight.

Q: Would this be good to give to a diamond dove?

I'm not sure what diamond doves are suppose to have, it has charcoal bites , I give this to my canaries and also oyster shell that they prefer most of all.
