Well-Being: Foundations of Hedonic Psychology

The definitive work in history thus far
Kahneman and coauthors' Well Being is the first comprehensive review of the scientific research on human happiness. This subject could not be more important to almost everyone. The book's length, diversity and depth of analysis present both a challenge and a stellar opportunity to anyone who is intensely interested in happiness and who has the behavioral science education and experience required to read through it with understanding.

Very dense ideas
Had to read and re read to understand concept. Worth the struggle for an older adult wanting reasons for a cluttered humanity

Great reference material
The book is highly recommendable for those interested in hedonic psychology especially Subjective Well-Being (a.k.a. Happiness). It covers a wide range of chapters which include definitions, measurement, clarifications/reactions, recent findings and researches. Its probable drawback is that, to a certain degree, it is somewhat very technical in approach. Not too many readers might easily grasp some contents/materials presented. Nonetheless, it is a great reference material.

Daniel Kahneman is one of the world's most interesting thinkers
The book, which I not only used for my phd-thesis is brilliant. It explains so much of human behavior that I can recommend it to all who are interested in figuring out the fundamentals and details of Well-Being.

Assez ardu
En aglais: The Myths of Happiness: What Should Make You Happy, but Doesn't, What Shouldn't Make You Happy, but Does.
