Drive Medical Junior Rollator with Padded Seat, Red

This product will be used by an elderly friend who lives in assisted living and is now on oxygen. The compartment below the seat will make it easier for her to get around outside her room with her portable oxygen tank. Just what she needed!

I bought this walker for my mom, who is 85, less than 5 feet tall, and less than 100 lbs. She did not like the "regular size" walker and often complained that they were too big and heavy. This walker is the perfect size for her and she can maneuver it without any issues.

I purchased this for my 87 year old mother who lacks balance/strength on her left side (due to a stroke). She has other pricier walkers and rollators but this is the only one she will use - not just because the shorter height is perfect for her but because it is lightweight and easy for her to maneuver over door guards, etc. She needs to rest frequently and stay hydrated so the seat and storage underneath for her bottled water are perfect.Personally, the light weight also makes it much easier to get in and out of the car. I did take off one star because as others said, the nuts do loosen and fall off...you need to check them and keep spares just in case (available at any hardware store). Admittedly, her other rollators are more heavy duty but they are much more expensive (in addition to being bulkier/heavier).I just ordered one for her younger sister who doesn't use the rollator from her health care provider because its too heavy and they don't offer one like this (seeing my mother use hers, it's what she wants).

Drive equipment is usually decent. This clearly had an assembly defect as parts fell off 1 day after return deadline. The user is pretty tiny and has not used it extensively, so clearly not abuse! Amazon's website directed me to contact Drive, after an extended chat session, the Drive representative insisted I had to call Amazon customer support. This automated "support" system provided me with a return link that ultimately directed me to contact Drive. 31 days and a broken unit. Guess I need to drive to hardware store and see if I can find parts--at least one of which could be problematic. Defects happen--I get that. But I would expect the supplier to stand behind their product, ideally by sending me the components to effect the repair.

After 3 failed attempts to purchase a walker that met my needs for being 18-19 inches from floor to seat, I finally found this Drive adjustable junior walker. It was easy to assemble, is sturdy, and the brakes work really well. It is really light weight and folds pretty thin because the back rest folds up, making it easy for me to put in my car and take it out without struggle. I'm happy.

I have bruises on my arms and legs from wrestling this in/out of my back seat. I thought it might be my height (5’1”), but taller people had the same hard time. I would have chucked it , but it’s sturdy and much more stable than my 3-wheeled walker- plus I will win over the walker! I even watched a YouTube video on how to get this into my car!

Bought for my mom. She has no complaints!
