Leigh Country TX 94012 54Qt. Cooler Char-Log, 54 Quart, Brown

sent it to my son in Taos,NM for a housewarming gift. Was pleasantly surprised when we saw it at his pig roast when we visited last week. The cooler looked great on the patio of his 200 yr.old adobe house. Very rustic! Good value for the price.

We have an expensive hardware store (Berings) that sells the identical cooler for $240! I bought it here on Amazon instead for $152. Easy to assemble and looks great!

ABSOLUTE GARBAGE!!! DO NOT BUY. I REPEAT. DO. NOT. BUY!!!!!! The finish on the wood is horrendous. The wood is all very rough, this wood has to be reject wood from the saw mills. Expect to get splinters assembling it. To call it finished wood is a real stretch. Half the holes don't line up when putting it together. For what it costs it should have a much better finish and the quality of all the components should be ALOT better. As I write this review this thing is dripping out the "drain" into a pot underneath at a party I am hosting. Embarassing? Absolutely. The drain at the bottom doesn't thread into the bottom AT ALL. So water drains all around it. Im screwing around trying to fix this stupid thing instead of enjoying my company. Because this company makes this things terribly cheap, and refuses to stain all the lumber, the bottom of the cooler is all warped now because the water is leaking all down the drain and along the bottom. I thought I was buying a quality gift for my girl friend with this, and given the price I thought it would be decent. Absolutely not. I am embarrassed to have given this as a gift, and spent as much money on it as I did. I should have just built my own for much cheaper, and much better quality. I would give this 0 stars if I could.

I had read reviews about being difficult to assemble before I purchased this product. I am very pleased to say that it took me less than 10 minutes to assemble with only a screwdriver. It was very simple.

I had this same cooler for 5 years and has been great. After 4 i had to go lo lowes and get replacement rubber washers to stop a leak from the drain. I saw the 1 other review and it is not right. I just bought another one because i figured for just over $100 i get a new one! My friend is taking the old one. Only the stain has faded and some dings. This cooler was used alot and so many compliments on it. This new one has a better liner that is not metal that was prone to react to water/ice and leave a distinct smell on beer can. The wood did not splinter, but it is not smooth finished oak. It is rustic pine. Not the best, but it provides the rustic look. The drain is a hard thing to get get right. Only hand tighten. You dont want a drip. The only reason i gave 4 instead of 5 was because i wished for a better drain. But it does NOT leak and my old one did not for 4 yrs. I will always have one of these coolers on my porch. Everyone loves it. Great price. It isnt a yeti, so dont expect cold for 3 days, but i live in AZ and there is still some in the next eve in the summer. Functional/fun/useful/furniture. Anyway, dont be scared.
