The Secret Of Bhagavad Gita

Entertaining and thoughtful
I usually browse many of the "cheapies" or "freebies" I download for my Kindle searching for passages or chapters of interest, to quickly move on to more substantial readings. To my surprise, this book got me glued from beginning to end.Vishwanath is a former business consultant turned into New Age guru, something that would have made me run away from this book a priori. Ignorance is sometimes a bliss. Thus, I was able to read the book without any prejudice, with intellectual curiosity and the detachment that any religious or spiritual book requires from me.This is not an academic exegesis of the Gita, done by a Gita expert or spiritual master (you should check Yogananda's edition for that), but a simple unpretentious book that uses the Gita in a practical way to extract practical advice to improve your life in general, no matter your religion or lack of it. In a way, is also a teacher's book to explain in simple words Hindu spiritual beliefs to non-Hindu people.Vishwanath is able to speak about very complex spiritual things using a very simple language. The book is full of metaphors and simple parables that will get you to understand some of the principles taught by the Gita or some obscure sayings by Krishna. You will learn about the nature of God, the age of the Universe, the Hindu heavens and reincarnation, why Hindu people need of many Gods and Godesses, and the spiritual principles that inspire Yoga among many other things. Some of the practical items of advice will help to bring peace to your mind (if you need of any), give you food for thought, and provide you with some amazing meditation exercises. I especially like the one about the Ocean, which I do sometimes and it is truly amazing.

Wonderful guide
What a wonderful guidebook for any spiritual seeker. It explains very simply and clearly spiritual truths which lay hidden within the various religions of the world, through the lens of Lord Krishna’s teachings. The thread which they all hold in common. Just beautiful.I would recommend this to anyone who is open minded and actively searching for a way to “being better”.

Chapter 3 Blew Me Away....Wow!
Its very hard to put into words the Value one receives in this book. Something we should have been exposed to early on in life for sure. The Secrets from this Holy Book the Gita, explains in easy to understand format just how simple it is and how good it can be, if we but just pay attention, be mindful and absorb this profound work of Art. Its true we have an inner guidance system and the red lights begin flashing upon opening this book, but with Chapter 3 things go way beyond the limitations we have set up for ourselves over the course of our lives and we can truly see the light at the end of the tunnel. Thank You Master Vishwanath once again for taking me a bit further and showing me what life looks like from a Master's point of view. I'm feeling it now and have this Knowing that all is good and getting better each Holy Moment.

A Knowledge Powerhouse!!!
I always wanted to read Bhagavad Gita and then I got my hands on this book, which tries to simplify what is written in the original one to bring across the message more clearer. There were certain parts of the book which made me realise my true self and how one can better their life by understanding the agents of change. A must read for everyone!!!

Great introduction to the Bhagavad Gita
Clear, concise and to the point. I truly enjoyed this introduction to the practice. I love how it is not shown as a replacement to any religion, simply as a companion to any current belief system one may hold. A very refreshing and enlightening read.

Bhagavad Gita for Breakfast
It's 6:00 a.m. in the morning. My bowl of Cereal and a read of Sri Vishwanath's book: The Power of Bhagavad Gita starts off my day. Sri Vishwantath's writing on the Gita is sweet as the the strawberries in the cereal. Sweet, palatable, easy to digest, and will be with me all day. I love the book for it's practical approach to the most important lessons. It will become a bedside manual for me I'm sure. So happy to discover this. Buy it you might love it too.

Hey Bhagavan!
I like how the author makes the Gita easy to understand; especially his teachings on the gunas. Well done!

Book Review: The Secret of Bhagavad Gita
13-Feb-16: Finished reading "The Secret of Bhagavad Gita" by Sri Vishwanath. Borrowing words of reverend Swami Vivekananda, "The teachings of Krishna as taught by the Bhagavad Gita (means Song of God) are the grandest the world has ever known. He who wrote that wonderful poem was one of those rare souls whose lives send a wave of regeneration through the world. The human race will never again see such a brain as His who wrote the Gita."This book isn't a commentary on the entire sermon delivered by Krishna to Arjuna. The focus is on revealing the essence of Bhagavad Gita, the secret yoga of Krishna, and the unseen laws of the four parallel worlds (Earth sphere, Lunar sphere, Electric sphere and Brahma Lok). The book also demystifies in simple yet profound words - The Law of Life After Death. The closing chapter beautifully sums up the Oneness that prevails in all religions.Krishna tells Arjuna: "Whosoever studies this righteous dialogue between us will be liberated and will reach the happy realms reserved for the meritorious."

Very original and addictive writing style!
This books comes as a whiff of fresh air. I know that a complex subject as Gita cannot be dealt in such a small book as this but I was pleasantly surprised when I read it. My recommendation is to read it in small parts and then read it fully again. There is a lot of original ideas that needs serious thought and I am still discovering many interesting facets as I read it again. This is a must read and at that price you will never be wrong, so much so I have purchased his other books and will review them asap.

A must-read for any spiritual seeker
I consider Sri Vishwanath as a great author. If you consider Bhagavad Gita as a text book, the book written by Vishwanth can be considered as a work book. Many read Bhagvad Gita text book and just forget it. If you do not follow what is taught by Lord Krishna it is as good as not reading. In this context the book written by Vishwanath is very helpful in the sense that he captured the most essential things to be followed from Bhagavad Gita in simplest form and has even suggested an action plan for any individual to follow the teachings of Lord Krishna in a progressive manner. This book will be most useful if one reads it after reading the main text book. I admire the way in which Vishwanth has delivered the most complex subject in most simple format that can be followed by anyone who is interested to grow in life spiritually. I am planning to read it even second time.
