Vile. Is it only me who hates liquorice root?
Awful. People forever seem to be sneaking liquorice root into teas for its alleged 'sweetness'. I am struggling to find the words to describe how disgusting I find this flavour. I don't hate black lliquorice, for example. But the root used in teas makes them as repellant to me as coriander is. I wonder if the two are related ...The only way I can sum it up is to say it gives a very nasty 'mouth feel' unlike anything else. I took one mouthful and immediately knew what I'd find in the small print on the ingredients list. Yuk.Anyway I loathe the stuff. If you don't have the same taste receptors .... well who knows. I wish you luck. I'm going back to Clipper.
