Hello, yes they are. i´m am honestly also confused sometimes, because the article description changes, although i did not do anything. As Red Wing has Numbers that describe not only the style but also the leather, the one we sale here is 875. The same style with a different leather has an different number. Have a good evening. No if they were safety toes it would say on the description however the toe of the red wing boots are a double leather construction so can withstand heavy objects you have to understand that when these boots were first created the safety standards were different
