You can cut to any size and it’s very bright but wish it stayed charged longer.

I have a pretty big back yard and sometimes my dog wants to go outside when it's dark. So I bought this to both light her up in the dark for me to see her, and also to help deter anything that might be out there from targeting her. After all she is a small miniature pinscher. As for the collar, you cut it down to size and it fit her perfectly after that. The battery seems perfect for her going outside for a few minutes everyday, I plug it in every so often just in case and haven't actually had it die on me yet. Also you can change the settings to where the light is either solid or flashing, for whichever you prefer or need. I really recommend it.

Purchased Clan_X USB Rechargeable Red LED Dog Collar.The LED light is housed in the part that holds the batteries and charging port and brightly illuminates the solid plastic collar.The solid plastic collar was easily adjusted by cutting with a pair of regular office type scissors. I sized the collar so that I could slip it over my dogs head, and it has not fallen off while in use.Arrived Oct. 1. I plugged the collar in to be sure it was fully charged, it only required maybe five minutes. While charging the on/off button is lighted, and when the charge is complete the light turns off.Have been using the collar with light set to steady glow when my black lab mix goes out at night for 5 to 15 minutes depending on if he sees something interesting.It is now Oct 24 and the collar light is still bright enough to see my where my dog is in the yard, although I decided to recharge the batteries just to be sure the light is available when needed.I would recommend this collar.

Would probably be great for dogs with short hair but my dog is a malemute and you can hardly see it
