Everything I needed to get started with water bath canning. The canning funnel fits perfectly into my standard-mouthed Ball jars. The lifter gets about as good as a grip as you can expect on wet glass. Felt a little silly using the magnetic lid lifter but it does work well. The brush seemed gratuitous at first but it does reduce jar washing to a 5-10 second job easy. The scoop is a scoop - personally hasn't helped me with canning but it is a nice sturdy scoop I've found other uses for. All-around a nice, well-made set of tools for a very fair price.

The items are exactly as described. Am very happy with them. Glad they included the spatula. Now I do not forget to slide it around the jar to remove air bubbles.

I used the equipment to can for the first time. I made tomato and tomatillo salsa. The tools appear well made. . The magnet on the end of the air-removal tool for lifting the metal lids onto the jars is strong and works well. The clamps for lifting the hot jars in and out of the water also works well. The only negative I have is that it is hard to use the 2-cup scoop to pour hot salsa into the funnel. The scoop is too long to fit close to the funnel mouth. I had to pour from above and this splashes. This can be remedied by using a different ladle to pour salsa into the funnel.

I gave this canning kit to a beginner canner. It was the best value.

Excellent value for the kit. I needed the magnet lid pick up and the jar lifter. Bought the kit for what those two items would cost. Jar sponge came apart on the second use?
