I was so excited to buy this. First impressions a box 2 Mason jars and I got the lavender and the eucalyptus mint. And a wicked dipper which I needed an love. Has a heart end that becomes a type of handle. When I open to smell them I had no scent for the mint one. The lavender was faint but I still had high hopes because this has halfway decent reviews. Last night around 12 or 1 AM I woke up and decided to burn the lavender in my bedroom with my door closed I fell asleep and woke up around 630 this morning. On the plus side it burns clean no soot and hardly any of it was used . Problem is I went upstairs got my coffee went outside went back in my room and I still had no smell of lavender. Unfortunately this will be return and I really hate to say this but it’s almost like buying a candle from the dollar store that has no smell maybe I got a bad batch I’ll say it again because this has some really good reviews but for me this is a return and I am very disappointed.

Overall, these candles were money well spent. They indeed lasted for the promised amount of hours. They came beautifully packaged, and I don't think the quality of the candles can be contested. It's easy to see that they are made and packaged with care. You can clean out the mason jar and reuse it when the candle is finished. The candles burned clean and evenly, and I wasn't careful to keep the wick trimmed as recommended (whoops).The only downside for me was the scent. I didn't like how the candles smelled. I had the two candles this company claims are made with essential oils. The lavender candle and mint/eucalyptus candle. I'll admit that the fragrances were indeed natural. However, they were almost medicinal...in a bad way to my nose. I suppose I expected a different, perhaps even a more commercialized version of these scents. I'm not sure. I don't blame the company, the scents just weren't as "nice" as I expected. While I don't recommend these particular scents to anyone, I am going to purchase other candles from Way Out West and see how I like the fragrance.So overall, I recommend these candles very much.

I absolutely love these candles! The scents are so pleasant and you can smell the candle almost immediately after lighting it. I continue to pay the extra money for something that I think is worth it and these candles are certainly "worth it"!

These candles are gorgeous, packaged thoughtfully and I love supporting small businesses so I really wanted to love them....That said, I purchased the lavender/ eucalyptus mint rosemary combo. I ooooohed and ahhhhhed over the gorgeous packaging, then opened the jar and....meh. They smelled sort of odd, I can’t explain it. I lit them, thinking the heat would activate the oils, and idk how to describe it, but the smell was just so bad. I love essential oils and I use lavender, eucalyptus, mint and rosemary in a therapeutic way, all day and night, every day. So it’s not that I’m unaccustomed to their scents. I grow lavender, rosemary and mint in my own garden! These candles were just, off.I notice now reading reviews, that the scents I bought are the ones with mixed feedback from customers. So maybe the other scents are amazing, I would love to give the company another try. For now, though, I am grateful for the ability to return these, and UPS is picking them up tomorrow. They were too expensive to keep if I’m not completely obsessed with them, unfortunately.

I decided to splurge and treat myself to some new candles to kick off the holiday season and get it smelling fabulous in my home! I don’t usually buy things for myself, so when this arrived I was pleasantly surprised! First of all, The packaging was really nice. I could definitely see myself purchasing more sets as gifts! I loved all of the little personal touches, especially the little flame extinguisher. I really love supporting small businesses so it was really nice to receive such a quality product made right here in the USA. I took the winterberry pine one out immediately and lit it, within minutes I could smell it’s fabulous scent! It was not overbearing, it was actually really nice and filled the room just right. I was looking for something to remind me of the holidays so this set is absolutely perfect. I have yet to light the hot apple cider one, but out of the jar it smells divine. I will be ordering again, the mimosa and champagne apple set looks amazing too. Thank you!

I don't leave a lot of reviews but I am so very pleased with this purchase I really wanted to. I decided to seek out something lavender to help me relax; I've been quite stressed going through cancer treatment. I'm a somewhat anxious person anyway, and know I like the scent of lavender. So I purchased these candles, and burn one every afternoon as I work at my home desk. A lovely aroma, very natural not "chemically" or cheap. The jar is about 3 1/2" high with a 10" circumference. Fits anywhere, looks exactly like the photo. The accompanying snuffer is very helpful. Would make a beautiful gift for yourself or a special friend. Comes boxed very well. I don't usually spend on a "gift" like this for myself, but it's wonderful and worth every penny! I just love it. And yes, I can attest to lavender being a soothing aroma :)

This is my second time buying this set for my Mom - she loved the candles so much I had to get her a second pair after she used up the others. I'm deducting a single star from the review because the candles burn quickly, almost too quick given the price of the candles. I really wish they were perhaps twice the size as they are.Still, Mom loves them, so I'll probably be including this in my Mothers Day/Christmas gifts to her for years to come.
