Versatile - a good store cupboard ingredient or emergency mix
I used to use these a few years ago and I found them really convenient as a vegetarian store cupboard ingredient. Seeing them for sale again was a big reminder.They're still easy to make up the packets and cook, and the taste is the same as I remember. They're not bad at all - really pretty decent for something that's come from a packet, and you get a decent amount of burger mix from each pack.They are also versatile to use for things beyond a straight forward burger, eg stuffing peppers or making into meatball shapes. And you can add in extras such as herbs, garlic, onion, or chili flakes.Definitely worth keeping in the cupboard for emergencies and creative food moments.

Handy to have as emergency prepper food a bit overpowering with dried onion smell for meBut you can add herbs and spices to your taste very quick to prepare and doesn't break up while shallow frying (best way to cook) will definitely purchase more

Pleased with purchase
Great to keep in the cupboard and you just need to add water. I use this for burgers but also make in to small vegan balls and add to sauces like Tikka Masala and they are a good meat substitute. I also put them in pittas with salad and sauce.

These taste vile. Inedible.
They just taste really disgusting with a horrible aftertaste. I'd bought a box of 5 and I threw the 4 unused packs in the bin with the cooked ones.

Please note this is not instant food and eat. You have to prepare your burger,s and then cook them. One packet make,s four burgers. I find them to be very tasty. Ideal packet size for traveling overseas or take on self catering holiday,s.

Preheat the oven to 200°C /180°C Fan / Gas Mark 6. Empty the contents of the sachet into a medium sized bowl. Add 200ml of cold water, stir well and leave to stand for 5 minutes, until the mixture has thickened. Using lightly floured hands shape into 4 burgers. Place in the centre of the oven and bake for 10 minutes. Alternatively heat 1-2 tbsp of oil in a pan and fry the burgers over a medium heat for 4-5 minutes until lightly browned.
