Easy to attach to my old extension pole. The included hardware fit perfectly, and it seems very sturdy. The loper easily cut through smaller oak, pine and avocado tree branches, the saw worked well on thicker branches. I like that the main body is metal and the rope has enough length and stretch, and seems sturdy.

Used this pruner/saw combo for about two hours. Replaced the pruner head on a Wallace(Fiskar) unit that failed after 15 years. The new pruner works well, pulley system offers increased mechanical advantage and makes cutting easy except in the largest diameter branches.The saw was difficult to use. I would expect most of the saw’s cutting to occur as you pull the saw towards you. When pulling toward you, it appears that the saw teeth are too aggressive. It is very difficult to get a good to and fro motion with the saw as it always catches/stops as you pull toward you. The blade is not that stout so attempting to load the saw as you push away from you results in deforming the saw blade.The saw blade on my old unit still cuts great, however the hole pattern differs between the old and the new so I can’t install old blade on this new head.50% pleased, 50% disappointed.

This is a well-engineered pruner, nicely packaged, and seems quite sturdy. It is designed to fit a wide variety of pruning poles. There were no instructions with it, but it's not complicated and since it's likely a replacement, it's like making a new axe handle: the pattern is right at hand (that is, look at how the broken one fastens and works, and this one will make immediate sense). Assuming the apparent quality is matched by the long-term quality, this is a real bargain.

Much easier to cut than with the pruning head on my old pole pruner. I had to drill a new hole to get to fit, but install was relatively easy.

although the design and cutting operation work well.. the rope is flimsy at best as it broke twice on my first use. instead of cotton fibre-which breaks easily - suggest using nylon for added strength

If your searching for branch trimmer, look no more. Purchase this one. The cutter blade is not a scissors design as most trimmers are wherein the moving blade can move sideways and break. I'll call it a guillotine style cutter where the moving cutter blade is supported on both of its sides. It also includes an additional pulley that provides greater mechanical advantage. Attaching it to a pole is a bit of a challenge, but with a bit of Yankee Ingenuity you can do it. The saw is also good because it includes a sufficient quantity of teeth per inch. A trimmer I purchased years ago included a saw with so few teeth per inch that the few teeth simply locked into a branch and I could not pull it to make a cut. It went into my recycle bin.
