Cherry Tree Furniture Orillia 160 cm Dining Table (Clear Glass Table Top)

I adored the table from the moment I saw it advertised and looked at other less expensive options but kept being drawn back to the table, I was so looking forward to placing the order.The table looks as it does in the photograph and is a good size and that is where my fondness ends.The materials used to make it are very cheap (they supply x2 tiny patches of vinyl strips in with the screw pack).I was expecting an oak laminate, the reality was/is heavy pieces of.. What I'm not sure.. covered in a cheap oak effect vinyl wrap. There are parts of the legs where there are rough bumps that in certain lights are visible if you look closely.The saving grace were that holes for long screws that hold legs in place line up.The issue I found - Which I think is a major issue, especially given how large and heavy the glass top is - Is that in order to attach the legs to the table top (unlike other flat pack furniture you put together) you have to not tighten fully. If you tighten the coupling on the table legs - They don't and won't slot into the table top when you try to affix. I found myself taking apart the table legs to slacken the screws to allow me to place and fix in place the top.It looks much more expensive from a distance that in reality and upon closer inspection it really is.The "Value for Money" stars is based upon the glass top only as I can't adequately describe how disappointed I am with the finish to the legs of the table.
