I like the thickness and weight of these well made plant pots. I only plant succulents and cactus in terra cotta pots because they breath and keep those indoor plants very happy. I have three Christmas Cactus that needed repotting into larger terra cotta pots. These pots fit the bill nicely! I've been gardening for 65 years and sometimes plants should only be planted in these clay pots so that appropriate soils dry out uniformly and keep the plant roots from becoming too wet for too long. Succulents and cactus thrive in terra cotta clay pots using succulent & cactus soil. I also add some lava rock to that soil to increase drainage. Love these useful pots! I'll use them for many, many years!
