Great Product for a great price
When other reviewers were saying that it was a hard workout, I was a bit skeptical. I am a martial artist, and stay in pretty good cardio shape. I run 4 miles twice a week and do jump rope for 10 min at a time often, I also do cardio kickboxing as well. I was a bit skeptical of how hard the workout would actually be for me. I thought without the resistance it wouldn't be a great workout, but it is getting cold, so running isn't as fun. I did my first workout last night. It was surprisingly hard to go for 10 min. I had to keep telling myself to keep moving. When I was done, I was sweating pretty bad. Great product for a great price.Pros:Value 10/10 great price for amazing cardio machineSet up is a breeze. Takes about 10 min.Workout- Fantastic leg cardio, and great stretching for the upper body. If you focus you can bring much more arms into play.Sturdiness 8/10. Sturdy and doesn't feel wobbly (Time will tell with overall durability, but based on what I've seen so far, I think this is going to work well for a long time.ConsFold up; I wish It could fold up smaller than it does.I can't see the display while I'm working out easily, this isn't a huge issue for me because I keep track on my apple watch.Overall, I give it about a 9.5/10

High expectations, ultimately satisfied
Unboxing was simple enough. The instructions were font size 5 so I didn't read them through well. Picture 2 shows how not to pick this up if you value your epidermis. The plastic edges are sharp. Pictures 8 and 9 show how to install the cable the wrong way. Picture 12 shows the results of installing the cable the wrong way. Everything after is redneck remediation. Fire does not melt the cable sheathing so you can fuse it together with a pair of pliers, instead it burns a bit like wood. A yellow flame may yield different results. I finally gave in to the oldest plan C, duck tape. When applied tightly and near perpendicular to the cable it will serve as a lame patch. The downside is it can catch fire with excess friction and will definitely gum the works with glue under heat. So why did I do this, I wanted a maxiclimber, they're out, and buying this is only to hold me over till they are back in stock. This is equipment is mostly in this sad state because of me.That being said if the setup instructions were font 10 or higher, I would have read them because it would not have been an eye strain. This would have resulted in a product as manufactured. The product has 3 things I wish were different. That the edges were not sharp enough to cut my hand, the faux 2 buttons above the display were not there to create a false sense of GUI sophistication, and that the calorie calculation took body-weight/height/gender as variables to enable relative accuracy OR have an overall height climbed rendered so calories can be calculated after a session is done.UPDATE 1 hour laterThe duct tape didn't hold, turns out that didn't matter. I yanked it off along with the damaged plastic underneath with a pair of skinning pliers. The steel cable underneath is plenty strong and soon straightened out under the strain of use. I then finished 1000 DPS on it, which I assume than means 1000 feet. It kicked my butt, in a good way. According to various equations, for my weight and height that is roughly 350 calories. That's good cardio in my book. I will continue to use this equipment until the cable breaks and when that happens, I will replace it with some scotch-brite treated para-cord. At this point I can measure the calories with sufficient accuracy and the equipment works as expected. I am therefore increasing my previous rating to 4 stars.Update The Day AfterWaking up it is immediately obvious that I got a full body workout. Every major muscle group is sore in a good way. I don't feel the need to take pain killers as this is definitely a mild case of Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness (DOMS). I am sure that through consistent conditioning with this equipment it will no longer be an issue after some time.

Total body workout and sweaty!!
Wow! Since COVID-19 closed down gyms and such, it’s been difficult getting a workout in. I absolutely love this thing! I remember in 80s movies this being a popular workout and figured if it worked back then, why not now! It was extremely easy to assemble and is easily put away into a corner of need be.The first few weeks were terrible trying to get my body used to this type of cardio. I would do a few minutes at a time, take a break, then start up again. It has an automatic calorie counter, distance counter and speed counter which knows when you’re actively using it or not. In 20 minutes I’m able to burn off 220 calories.Make sure to use shoes with this machine because it’s not barefoot friendly. It’s easy on the joints like knees and hips so you’re not straining. If you’re on the fence, don’t be.... this product is great for a full body workout

Its loud
The feeling is not smooth. It doesn't jerk or anything but it doesn't have a glide-like motion. It is also loud to a distracting level.I don't recommend wearing shorts. My knee hit the underside of the body on the way up. I think there is a potential to get a good scratch from there.I had some struggles putting it together as I had a hard time getting the wholes to line up for the base. Also the instructions are written incredibly small. I had to use my cell phone as a magnifying glass. The workout its self is pretty good. I'm a bike commuter and this is going to take some time to ramp up. If I decide to keep it.

Highly disappointed
We purchased this because it was the only climber that would fit in the space we have available. It was out of stock when we ordered it, and th delivery date kept getting pushed back. Ultimately, that was fine because we knew the delay when we ordered it. Fast forward, over a month later the climber arrived. Packaging was sufficient and assembly was incredibly easy. Eager to use it, we were immediately deflated. My husband (5'9", 153 lbs) got on the machine and it was far from smooth. Rickety, noisy, and leans forward way too much. I myself got on (5'2", 126 lbs) and experienced the same thing. We ensured our concrete basement floor was level, tried adding and removing, then adding again the provided suction cups in hopes to create more stability, but our efforts were in vain. About a week after, and only about 20 minutes of use total, my husband noticed the front brace was actually dented/bending. Incredibly unsafe and disappointing. No way this can hold or keep up with anyone larger than the two of us, or a vigorous exercise regiment. Ultimately, so very disappointed in the product. Huge thank you to Amazon customer service for allowing me to return it even when it was out of stock, AGAIN.
