Perfect set up to introduce guitar. Interfaces are seamless. Great value and the size is convenient for practice in space restrictions like a car.

I purchased the product as a beginner so I could practice basic guitar techniques while away, since I travel a lot. I found the product I was sent simply didn't work as advertised. The notes often don't play at all so it's very frustrating having to pluck strings several times just to get a note. It would be unplayable for an experienced guitarist from what I could see. The iOS App is a joke and doesn't have even basic instruments like ... a guitar! Instead if defaults to a "Blackstone" setting, which is just an awful, I don't know what they were thinking. I would change the setting to "Piano" as it was the least crap sounding of the available tones. The build quality is horrible, poor quality moulding with halves not matching and it's very uncomfortable to hold even for a short period. Think vending machine toy type quality. I spent hours fiddling with all available combinations and finally contacted the company support. They offered to replace it with a Jamstik+ and assured me it was better. Indeed it was better, but was sent as a left-handed model that also seemed faulty, so more time was spent re-stringing it to right handed. Despite my best efforts I couldn't get one of the strings to play at all. It appeared nobody had bothered to do even a basic check on it before shipping a replacement product. I offered to persist if the company could simply check the next replacement was working properly before shipping as I wasted literally days of my time while I was otherwise very busy with work. They suggested I simply refund the product. I'd read poor reviews of this product before purchasing but dismissed them by thinking "how bad can it be". Unfortunately I got to find out!

I do not like talking bad about products, but this was not worth it. It is a great idea, but poorly executed.The app did not get past the first lesson and it was just not working at all. I sent it back the next day.

My intention was to use as a travel guitar, was told by JamStik customer service that it is more of a training tool and that the Studio would be a better option ($800 vs. $200) Even so, the Jamstik7 did not perform well. Notes were delayed or did not play at all and strumming of chords did not translate well, even when I connected via cable. Additionally, voices provided in the software package did not sound authentic.Might be good for a novice to learn the basic notes and chords and/or playing Guitar Hero style games, but JamStik is not a substitute for a real guitar, which is unfortunate because it is a great concept.

I like that it will connect with my phone, IPAD or computer to learn. It produces the sound that you would expect from a regular guitar! On the other hand for the cost to be pretty high I thought the quality of the plastic on the back could have been better. I’m learning basic cords! I would buy it agin!!

Best tool ever!

This thing came all dinged up straight from the factory. The material is really bad, the latency is horrible. The app / chrome app are both very ghetto. I wouldn't even use this as a midi controller.The concept is amazing, the execution is horrible. I would strongly suggest a cheap electric guitar and a micro amp and just use your headphones instead of this.

App was clumsy and I needed to restart it twice to get it to update. There was a delay when playing between The jam stick Bluetooth and my AirPods. Sometimes I would play a string and no sound would come out; other times I play a string and two notes would come out. The device is clumsy and that would be too much of a distraction for someone trying to learn guitar.
