I'm a teacher and I bought this for my class. It is ideal because there are different levels which make it suitable for Primary 2 or 3 through to Primary 7.The books in this series come with cardboard counters but this item has plastic counters which are much more durable.The idea is that your are told what coloured counters you require, there is also a diagram of the pattern the counters make (eg a circle, three rows of three, a straight row etc) and then given clues as to what order the counters need to me laid out on. A very simple one might be three in a row, and you have an orange a white and blue counter. The clues might say the orange is in the middle, the blue is on the right of the orange. The problems get progressively more complex and require more and more counters to be used.

A game which enables the kid to think out of the box and try different strategies..never a second opinion on this one..each level increasing their logical reasoning.A wonderful game from logic links..

As a licensed clinical social worker, I have been using this "game" with the kids I see as well as a fun tool with my own 3 children- ages 13, 10 1/2, and 8 1/2. The game gives clues as to where the colored chips must be placed and there is an answer key. There are several levels of play, so the game can grow with children from about age 7 and up. It is a great game for kids with executive functioning struggles as it teaches them to break down a task and think a problem through logically. You cannot go wrong with this game! Take it to restaurants with your kids instead of their electronic devices!

Each of the 166 puzzles presents a number of circles, where the solver must place a number of colored chips. The puzzle comes with one or more clues as to the relationships between the chips ("One of the red chips is directly on the left of an orange chip", "A blue chip is somewhere below a white chip" and so forth). That's it-- but the puzzles are quite well thought out, varied, engaging, and arranged in difficulty levels sufficient to challenge most children. As a tool for building deductive and critical thinking skills, it is worth its weight in gold.I am not sure whether there is overlap with the Logic Links books; there are 100 or so puzzles in each book, and 166 total puzzles by comparison here. Perhaps the boxed set is a "best of" from the other books, something to be aware of. In any event the puzzles would take most children quite some time to work through, so I think this is at least a very good choice for a first pick in the series (you would then be guaranteed to encounter at least some new puzzles in the books).The price works out to pennies a puzzle. You can't beat this value. For younger children, I would also check out "Clever Castle".

very addicting. Thought it was a game for more than one. We played it with two people competing against each other, which added a whole new level to the game. In a rush to beat your competitor you will get it wrong sometimes and then it is fun to figure out where you went wrong. The only problem is when you try to have two playing at once, there are not enough chips to play. Looking to see if I can get extra chips somewhere. Meanwhile I am purchasing all the other ones. Fun Fun Fun. I am not sure this would have been as much fun if I weren't playing against someone else though.

We use them for homeschool and he wants to keep doing just one more. They are gradually getting tougher.
