I am not a coffee aficionado but I know what I like and what I don't like. I don't like bitter-tasting coffee like Starbucks and Mcdonald's and similar brands' coffee doesn't taste like coffee to me. I have an expensive coffee maker and I wasn't overly impressed with this coffee, but when I made it in my cafetière — wow, it is amazing. It is smooth, dark, and the best tasting coffee I have ever had, and I have tried many brands, expensive and inexpensive, and have lived all over the world. Also, I can't tell it is decaf, in terms of taste. I had to go back and check that I'd bought the right one as it tasted so great!I didn't think caffeine affected me too much, beyond the 'high' it gives, and I tend not to drink it in the evenings. However, with the decaf, I am going to bed earlier and fall asleep much more easily. I would highly recommend this coffee, especially for the price.

I can't find this type in my local grocer, so I decided to order online to give it a try. It arrived quickly, and was a great price compared to other sources.Many people who must drink decaf want good, bold, dark coffee, not mild mediocre stuff, just without the caffeine. Not without the flavor! Finding such decaf has been quite the quest.This fills the bill. I just wish Folgers (and their parent company) were more conscientious of sustainability and ecological factors, as I would make this my go to decaf if they had better business ethics.I cannot rate the "sheerness" value above as I have no idea what that means with this coffee product....If I don't buy it again, it will be due to the ethical considerations... Although Folgers (Proctor & Gamble and J.M. Smucker) states on their website that they are concerned about sustainability and ethical working conditions, they reject all the common certifications to ensure this is happening. The coffee supply chain used is NOT pesticide, herbicide, or fungicide free.Otherwise, it is one of the cheapest grocery store coffee brands available, and can produce a decent cup, especially this Black Silk Decaf, if you aren't concerned with these other issues.

I was as surprised as you probably are that Folgers has a great tasting Decaf coffee! We were having issues finding a good Decaf coffee to take with us on a trip and ended up buying this brand in desperation at a grocery store, and low and behold I was truly surprised at how good it was, when we got back to Texas(go longhorns) we could not find it in our H.E.B store( gotta live in Texas to know what HEB is) but then I found it on Amazon and we now get a delivery every two weeks..happy face here :). We like our coffee strong but not to bitter and this coffee nails it...now if your a straight coffee kinda person, I cant vouch for it, because I am a cream in my coffee kinda guy, but not in a pervy kinda way..smiley face here:)

I purchased this coffee on 5 May 2022 for $8.19 for a 20.6 oz container (I purchased 6 containers) and now it sells for $27.95 for same size container. This coffee is very good but, it's not that good that I would pay $27.95 for it.

If you are searching for a good - make that great - cup of decaf coffee, this is the one! It is rich and smooth, absolutely delicious! You would never know it’s decaf, it’s that good!Unfortunately it now appears that it is no longer available on Amazon! I am so disappointed as I have been ordering this coffee from Amazon for several years at a good price with free shipping. I wonder if the decaf Black Silk is being discontinued by Folgers as it is very difficult to find anywhere. I certainly hope not! Maybe it’s just a supply chain issue.

I love a bold coffee flavor for my morning wake up, and the Folgers Black Silk fits the bill for me, even more so now that I have gone to decaf. I can still get the flavor I love and have less of the caffeine that I know I shouldn't have. I order 3 or 4 cans at once to make sure my pantry is stocked up. I wouldn't want to be without it.
