These are for 12VDC not 12VAC!
I am an electrical engineer, so trust me on this. If you buy these, pay attention to this: YOU CAN'T USE THESE WITH AC VOLTAGE. You can't use these to directly replace 20W halogen bulbs that run on 12VAC. Don't waste your time or the seller's time. If you plug them into 12VAC, they will burn up - simple as that! You will need to remove the 12VAC transformers and replace those transformers with little 12VDC power supplies. *THEN* you will get excellent results. I replaced 19 undercounter halogen bulbs in my kitchen with 19 of these LED lights. So I went from approximately 400Watts to approximately 40 to 60Watts with just about the same lumens light output but with way less heat and way less power usage. You can find little 12VDC power supplies that put out about 12Watts. (1 Amp current at 12VDC is 12Watts.). Use one those 12Watt DC power supplies to drive three of these Rayhoo LEDs, and that will give you some design margin. If you can't find the power supplies on Amazon, then look on Aliexpress. Now that I converted to LEDs, I don't mind leaving the undercounter lights on all evening.I notice some people complaining here that their LED lights flicker. Make sure that you do *not* use a slider or fader type control on this circuit where your LEDs and 12VDC power supplies are connected. That can definitely cause your LEDs to flicker. (Even if you turn the fader all the way up, the LEDs can still flicker.) Remove that slider or fader and install a normal on/off switch. These particular LEDs are not suitable for dimming.I also noticed that some people are complaining that their LEDs only lasted a few hours or days before they burned out. My guess is that those are the people who have connected their LEDs to 12VAC (wrong!!!) instead of 12VDC, like they should have done.

I found that they are nice soft white and very bright
I bought these looking to do away with all of my obsolete 10 watt halogen bulbs. To my surprise, I found that they are nice soft white and very bright. it is better then I expected. So, basically I have to say they are great. I did not have to change anything on my fixtures, or transformers.I would totally recommend these to anyone who is using these in a outdoor landscape light application, like I did. also, I like the fact that I have newer looking, and brighter lights that are not getting hot, and sucking up mass amounts of juice on my electric bill. I feel that they will pay for themselves in no time.

As soon as I finish changing out the halogens I'll feel better about the lights being on more often
I'm on my third order of these lights. I bought a house with a significant number of outdoor accent lights, all halogen. When one of the halogen bulbs burned out, I found that the replacements were $60. So not gonna happen. A little engineering and my halogen fixtures became LED, and these little babies are the star of the show. They just plain work and they save me a lot in electricity costs. As soon as I finish changing out the halogens I'll feel better about the lights being on more often. One other thing...the complaints about reliability, especially the ones where the light burned out in less than a week, are very likely related to plugging them in to an AC circuit. Don't do it! You can think about it...but just don't do it :-).

I replaced it with another and that bulb seems to be working fine. I am not sure if this is related ..
I have replaced 6 halogen bulbs in my RV with these. 1 of the 6 bulbs had an issue with not all of the LEDs lighting up and then after a few cycles, did not come on. I replaced it with another and that bulb seems to be working fine. I am not sure if this is related to the voltage/transformer as mentioned in the bulb description (which I did not notice the first time I bought these). The other 5 and the one I replaced seem to be doing fine. 1 out of 7 seems like a high defect rate. I like the clear silicone rubber encapsulation and the “warm white” color seems a good match to the bulbs I am replacing. I am ordering more and will replace the halogen bulbs over time.I have replaced almost all of these bulbs. They flicker or some of the individual LED's fail to light or in one case the entire bulb overheated and burned my socket. These are poorly made and unreliable. I will be looking for a better brand.Dan

Replacing those crummy old halogens
For years I got away with buying 20W halogen bulbs that were cheaper online and worked fine as replacements for my landscape and some indoor lights. But recently I've found it impossible to find bulbs that would last more than a few weeks in service. I was really waiting for the ultimate sweet spot of lower pricing and higher output of compatible LED bulbs, and finally it is here. This was my first purchase of LEDs that appeared to meet the criteria. So I plugged in a half dozen replacements this afternoon, and this evening they lit up great in my Malibu spotlights. They look like an extremely high quality product, which I so appreciate. I down-rated them one star only because their brightness may be slightly less than the halogen 20 watters, but still, close enough. And of course, I don't know yet if they will have great longevity, but I'm expecting the best. I'm ordering more of these.Update 1/10/2016:These are still going strong since my first purchase. Granted, it has been less than several months since first use, but I am impressed that they turn on reliably each and every night, without a single dud. I have now purchased more and replaced roughly twenty filament bulbs with these LEDs, and I will never go back. By this time I would have already had some of the old halogens going bad. I'm using standard Malibu and Home Depot landscape transformers, which run the lights for approximately six to eight hours per night. My existing A/C transformers are similar to those that I have used for outdoor lighting for over 20 years, and yet I have not experienced any failures with these new LED lights, as has been suggested could occur. So far, so good!
