I would not have ordered this if I had known it was 2015

Works for most of what I do but could not get dissimilar hardware feature to work for me.
I have been using Acronis is a number of years to create images and move data between hard drives. This is the same performance I am use to. I tried to use the restore to dissimilar hardware feature but no success. I had to go back to Symantec Backup and Restore to do this.

It really hasn't done me much good at all
Note: this review is based off of a user who used it in Windows 8.1 64 bit.It really hasn't done me much good at all.... And certainly wasn't worth the headaches.I got it because I had a problem with doing the same functions via Command Prompt and Simple Shell. As well as whatever the "recovery" tool is Lenovo sends with their systems. But ultimately I couldn't get hardly any functions of this software to work at all. At least not to any extent that made me satisfied. Cloning disk never worked. Took a lot of repeated tries to construct a single ISO file, I had to make an ISO on every storage space possible to try to burn onto a new hard disk, ultimately booting into Acronis to do other functions yield fruitless... To the point where cloning disks asked me to buy the full version (....seriously), and a lot of storage devices and hard disks I wanted to select to burn an ISO to/from would not be visible or unselectable from whatever list(s). All I wanted to do was transfer the OS to a new SSD. Ultimately I purchased Windows 10 Pro via USB for $200 for a couple of reasons, but partly out of fear if I did an upgrade and couldn't recover from any ISO files at all, I'd be screwed and have to buy an OS anyways. Partly because Lenovo and other manufacturers insist on "cutting costs" by not shipping a 0.58oz CD with their 128oz desktop. Some of this I suspect might have to do with having a faulty motherboard, which I have no way to test, but the BIOS seems to operate fine. After installing windows 10 I gave the cloning option a second try (since I have two SSDs) and for whatever unexplainable reason, Win 8.1 was successfully cloned to the SSD without being prompted to purchase a full version of the software. All in all I dislike this software through and through. The boot up with Acronis function gets in the way of so much. It has an annoying cursor in the middle of the screen that doesn't function with the mouse at all, and it is difficult to navigate via arrows and TAB. And it causes the restarting and shutdown actions to take a couple minutes to perform. So I just hold the power button on my desktop to turn it off instead. I'll be uninstalling this the next time I open 8.1. I hope I never feel the need to use it again.Oh, and I'm pretty sure their "customer support" is limited to forum discussions. Good luck - with that.Worthless piece of trash.

Good not great...
Does job I expected. However, setup instructions were vague at best. This is strong criticism, since I'm a very senior computer professional. Also, I'm not sure it is any better than no fee options, e.g., Todo Backup Free. Current price of $28.00 is about right.

Did a perfect clone of my C
Did a perfect clone of my C: drive. I was able to swap out drives (to a larger boot drive). The knock down of one star was that the included instructions are sparse.

Not for all MS Windows 10
This software does not work with my computer because of a module in my computer. Acronis is aware of the problem on their web site, but does not mention it in the product description on Amazon.

Worked fine for a couple months. Useless after that.
Worked well for the first few months. Then it went into an endless backup cycle which I could not disable. So I uninstalled the software and then attempted to reinstall it. I received an error message "the service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it." Bottom line is that I could not reinstall the software after uninstalling it.I attempted to contact Acronis customer support but their website would not recognize my email, the software serial number, or the password that I originally set up when I purchased the product. There's a reason why 25% of customer reviews are one star. I should have heeded the warning. Now I'm part of the unhappy 1 star reviewers.
