Great knife! Solid construction and was sharp out of the box. The action was tight (tough to use the flipper) at first. After working the action a couple of hundred times by hand it has loosened up to the point that it will flip easily. The "Emerson Wave" feature has worked very well from the beginning and just gets better as it is used. As this is intended as an EDC defensive tool, I have not used it in a utility function so can't comment on how well blade holds an edge. Very happy with the purchase.

Just to give background, I do a lot of manual work where I am carrying something like a bag of feed or a box of food product that I don’t have time to put down, take out my knife, open the knife, cut open the thing I need open, you get it. This knife allows you to open it one handed with minimal effort. I’ve used this thing underwater to unclog pools, restaurant sinks, and I use it to pry open things like trim panels when I’m working on my truck. It’s never broken or failed despite my abuse.Last thing I have to say is that anyone who complains about the 8CrMOV13 steel is scared of sharpening their knife.

I just received this knife today and I have to say I'm very impressed. For the price, the quality is amazing. It feels beefy with a nice weight to it, and the size is perfect. The folder action is a little stiff right now, but I'm sure it will loosen up over time. The fit and finish are very nice and the overall quality of the manufacturing seems excellent to me. I'm not a knife aficionado, so I can't comment on the type of steel the blade is made from or the kind of grind used in the sharpening process!! But for me this is exactly what I was looking for at a price that's a fraction of the other brands, so for me it's a winner!

Very hard to open at first. Impossible to do one handed. Wave opening works though. Will need a while to break in the frame lock. Blade quality good, a nice heft to it. Overall, gets better as time goes on.

For self defense I went fixed blade, but this knife is great for working my old job. Not going to slip when wet, one-hand accessibility, honing steel keeps blade workable long term if you don't have machine/stone.Cuts cardboard/plastic wrap well and can be worked one handed. I used blue loctite on the fastening screws for the clip since they eventually wear loose when you rub on things like a forklift all day.Then loosened the pivot screw for the blade so it'll flip open easily. The lip catches your pants as you remove the knife from your pocket and locks open well as I move it to what I'm cutting in one motion.Can use one thumb and swipe the back on your leg to close one-handed too.

This is a cool knife

I carry this knife all the time. It is larger than the average pocket knife, but perfect for everything from opening boxes, to cutting garden twine. I love the quick deploy wave opener; it helps out when my other hand is occupied with whatever I need to trim.

Love the wave knife feature. These knives last forever through abuse, I carry them every day.
