The Fotasy Nikon G AFS Lens to Samsung NX Adapter allows photographers to use Nikon G and F-mount lenses on Samsung NX mount mirrorless cameras. It features an aperture control ring and grants infinity focus, although it requires manual adjustments for exposure and focus due to the absence of electrical contacts.

Very high quality part that fits perfectly on both the lens and the camera.
I use this to mount a Canon FD 200mm f4 macro lens on my Samsung NX500 camera. It fits perfectly and is very well made. I'd say the quality is at least equal to the Canon lens and the camera. Excellent! The adapter is 13.9 mm thick, and the NX FFD is 25.5 mm. The Canon FD mount is designed for FFD (flange focal distance- the distance from the lens flange to the film) of 42 mm, so the adapter plus FD lens puts the lens flange at 13.9 + 25.5 = 39.4 mm from the camera's sensor, slightly shorter than the FD lens design which means that the FD lenses should focus at infinity, and I can report that it does.Mounting the adapter on the lens is easiest if you set the lens aperture to the "A" mark, then mount the adapter, then move the aperture back to any of the manual f-stop settings. These adapters are cheap enough that you can just buy one for each FD lens you own and leave the adapter on the lens all the time.

2nd adapter received worked great! For NX300 How to use tips...
The item works perfect. For me it was easier to attach adapter first (click) and twist the silver ring to make sure the little tab is pushed to whatever side it needs to be so it will turn the little (aperture) tab on lens as it should. Next attach lens and make sure there is a click. To remove: taking lens off first was easier (for me)-push down on that 3-layerd button on side of adapter and twist lens off. Then remove adapter. Remember no autofocus using this adapter, but can you use focus peaking on the NX300 (have to be on A,S, or M modes only. On NX300 must click "ok" each time you want to activate focus peaking using this adapter.PS: Had to return original one received for replacement(3stars). Waited for a very long shipping time to receive, but I was in no rush.Hope this helps.

Would work for SLR lens but, not DSLR lens if you didn't know.
Wanted to see if I can stick my EF lens onto my NX3300. It fits the NX mount, it fits the EF mount. To detach your lens you pull back the metal knob and twist the lens off. You will have to adjust everything manually since there are no mechanical parts. I was trying to use my DSLR Lens but, that was my mistake. Since theres no chip in the mount to talk to your camera body you can't set the F stop within the camera. I'm not too disappointed since i knew it was a long shot but, this adapter is meant for SLR lens and not DSLR lens. It'll be great to bring your old film lens back to life with this mount on your nx## camera. Hope this helps for those looking for adapters for your mirror/mirrorless dslr lens

Just what I needed
I bought a Samsun NX30, and shortly after, I bought this adapter so I could use some of my old Canon SLR lenses. It's a metal body and it looks in feels nice, and trustworthy. It takes some effort to take it off and put on, but you'll get a hang of it. It's sturdy, I've only had a few issues with stability, but that was with my 50-200 and bigger and heavy lenses, but that makes since, it is only a fixed adapter. Also, you can only use it on Manual and Aperture priority settings, but that's pretty obvious since most FD lenses don't have electronical connections. It was just what I needed and it's works perfectly.

Fotasy adapter for Samsung NZ-500 to Celestron spotting scope.
Adapter was easy to setup. However, it had to be manually focused to the limit of the focus range of the scope and couldn't quite pull into focus. There is no guarantee that this works between NX-500 and just any other product. Waste of my money. Specs of both products should be harmonized to ensure compatibility.

Does the job
Cheap and does the job, no issues here. Bought two and will likely get a few more. DON'T FORGET to buy another rear cap for your camera, so when changing lenses you can just cap off the rear of the adapter (if you go with several of these). Much less fiddly than putting Nikkors on Canon EOS mount though, where (for paid gigs) you needed a mount on every lens to speed up the shoots. With this mount, the lens just comes off as if it were going on a nikon body. So if you just get one, make sure you have a spare Nikon body cap to protect the sennsor - on the NX1 it's very close to the flange!

it works beautifully
This thing allows me to put my old Zentiar 1.7 on my X-E1 and it works great! focus peaking also works nicely. Well built, and no internal reflections or issues. Be advised that the lens may not rotationally line-up with the top of the camera as this is shipped to you. Luckily there are 3 tiny set screws you can loosen and rotate the lens so that things line up well. having the lens not aligned won't affect image quality at all unless you're using an anamorphic lens. why only 4 stars? well, 3/4 of a star for having to adjust the rotation, and another 1/4 because it doesn't have functionality to load lens data into the camera automagically.

Rainbowimaging adapter
Works fine however this goes on the lens really tight, far too tight for my liking. I was worried about not being able to get it back off for a minute. Of course there are no electrical connections to the lens so no information is transmitted to the camera in the way of f stop or focus. In other words your lens becomes a dumb lens and will be wide open f 4.0, f 2.8 or what ever it might be and will not be adjustable. You'll have to use manual focus as well.

This is not an m42 to Fuji adapter. It is actually a Nikon to Samsung NX adapter. I can't believe I bought it.
