Akai KS213 Portable CD&G Karaoke System with Tablet Cradle

Great! Wish it actually hooked up to my phone. But is plays CD's just fine. The mike is good quality. The speakers are good too! My boys love it!

Bought this to play music cd's and computer cd's for my sons DJ Business. It has some sound flashing lights and hooks up to our sound board and large speakers. It is not Kareoke unless you read the words on the iPad. We play all our music from IPads only need this for people's music CDs they sing with. These people sing a lot and know their words. Not a good kids toy not that loud.

I bought this for my 8 year old, as it was relatively cheap, user friendly, and she could hook up to her kindle. The mic part works great, however there is literally no point in plugging in her kindle...as the music does not go through the machine. You can hardly hear it unless your ear is right up on it. It's much louder just to not plug in kindle at all. However, the mic works great, easy to use, and it's light-weight, so she can carry it around herself and doesn't need my help whenever she wants to use it. I am considering returning it, though, just based on the fact that she can't even hook it up to kindle/TV if she wants to hear music while she sings with it hooked up...which she does. Much cheaper just to buy a microphone probably. Disappointed in the product.

Really like the karaoke machine for what it is. It's loud, has multiple functions that you can use (auxiliary, CD, etc.) and also a spot for 2 mics. The strobe lights are really cool, too.For the price, it's great.Being picky, there's one thing that could/should be improved...Where you attach your iPad or tablet (which I would imagine a lot of people do), it's not practical to install/remove. You have to: 1. take your tablet out of it's case, 2. slide it into the holder, 3. slide the holder onto the karaoke machine.If you didn't need your tablet for anything else, that's not a problem. But I, like most people, need my tablet for more than just karaoke. It would be better to have more like an adjustable clip that you slide the tablet into. This would make it so you don't have to take your tablet out of it's case, and would ensure a snug fit for multiple sizes of tablets.4 stars because of that, otherwise it's great.

It serves it's purpose but is of very poor quality craftsmanship and material. One little drop or hit and it will be out of service.

It's a good idea, but it's a REALLY cheap product. It sounds bad. The mic broke almost instantly. Bottom line is, it sounds really bad. I expect more from Akai. Akai's name is why I bought this. I figured, they make pro audio gear, they aren't going to put out a total piece of junk, right? Well...they did.

I don't really know what to say about this karaoke machine because my 12 year-old daughter loves it, but she only uses the microphone and sings to songs that are already on her iPad. I was very excited about this and even bought a bunch of karaoke CDs to go with it, but we STILL have not been able to get them to work! They don't play the music and the lyrics do not show up on the screen (not even with the CD it came with)! I am disappointed because of the money I spent, but like I said, she loves it.

Bought for my 6 year old daughter and she loves it. Simple enough for her to operate on her own. Voice projection is totally adequate for her. This unit is very versatile in the way that it plays Karaoke CDs, regular CDs, and can work with any device with an AUX plug. Very happy with this purchase.

Fantastic but mike makes too much noise!

El aparato es bonito, funciona, pero solo trae un cd con 6 canciones, dice 10 canciones pero se repiten 4, lo peor es que bajas la aplicacion que te dicen y viene en Japones o no se, no se puede pasar de ahi, finalmente un traductor ayudo a cambiar la configuracion y Soprpresa!!! te pone que cancion quieres comprar, le das "purchase" y nada !1 no se pueden comprar, entonces?? como para que me sirve, para 6 canciones? ayudeme a saber que otra app puede funcionar con este aparato o mas cds o que, sino para devolverlo, no me sirve asi. Gracias

I love the machine accept that if you are playing tracks on youtube the machine times out and shuts off because it isn't playing through it even though you are still singing though it? wish that was not the case
