Awesomely necessary addition to any household
How can you not buy these for your children? When I opened the package and took them out, the look of joy on my kids' faces confirmed what I had surmised the minute I saw these: they are a must-have for any primate. For starters, they have tons of super-fun uses - way beyond simply picking up food. My daughter uses them to "comb" my hair. My son pretends they are guns and runs around the living room shooting stuff up. They're also good for dueling, poking at people, squeezing to relieve stress, securing a bun, picking up trash.... The list just goes on and on! You should also consider the brilliant, inexplicable purple color. Somewhere between periwinkle and violet, this shade will never fail to catch your eye. No risk of forgetting these babies in a Japanese restaurant! And lastly, they seem fairly indestructible. The "chimp" part is made of hardy silicone, and the "sticks" are made of some sort of plastic. I thought my children had managed to break them within five minutes of opening the package - there are only so many objects that can stand up to the sort of brutal physical degradation that my children can deliver - but to my complete surprise, the sticks on these can be repeatedly pulled out of the chimp and re-inserted without any observable ill effects! If these can last a week in my house, they can surely last several years in yours. I'll bet they'll be functioning a lot longer than I will, at any rate.

Chimpsticks you are my hero
I purchased these for myself because I am terrible at using chopsticks and I always have to endure the shame and sideways glances that go with having to ask for a fork whenever we go out to certain restaurants. I felt a little silly using them at first, but then I had some wine and didn't have to ask for a fork, so it was all good after that. These were really easy to use, although the plastic they are made from makes them a little slippery with sushi sometimes. I thought they were really easy to wash, but I think hand washing was recommended on the packaging. I haven't tried to wash them in the dishwasher yet. I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 5 because one of the arms falls out of the chimp pretty easily.

Impulse purchase at Christmas. But recipient loved.
Ridiculously expensive. But the grandboy and his mom liked them. They do come apart from the rubber chimp head. Not sure if theyโre supposed to. Like straight up while using them came apart. Took off one star for that and the cost. Cute novelty item and good quality but youโd sure expect that for the cost! Not sure Iโd put them in the dishwasher

Worth $12, not $28
For $12 I think theyโre great. They are a fun shape and nicely colored. They gave held up well. They gave been very useful in helping my kids practice dexterity and eating with chopsticks. Iโve had my kids use them to transfer cotton balls, beads, beans, etc etc from one bowl to another for fun and practice.I was going to buy another set to give to a teacher for her preschool but thereโs NO WAY I would pay $28 for them. I guess Iโll gave to give another kind a chance.

These are great!
I bought these as a birthday gift for a friend that is severly chopstick-challenged. We went out to dinner for her birthday at a Sushi restaurant and I presented these to her before the first spicy tuna roll hit the table. After laughing and poking fun at her for a bit she started to use them and proceeded to outpace me in grabbing everything from shashmi to the seaweed salad! I fear I have created a monster! I understand these may be intended for children but they work just as well for adults that have a keen sense of humor and don't mind holding a purple monkey with long "legs" as a dining utencil. I plan on ordering a few more sets for the rest of my friends that still ask for a fork to pierce a maki roll! I only hope they will use them with the same gusto and dexterity that the birthday girl had! (I may have to get myself some too so that I don't look like the odd man out using boring old chopsticks :)

A good idea.
I got these chopsticks for my kids as they are learning to use traditional chopsticks...but hunger wins out over patience. This makes it easier without struggling. They come in fun colors and are easy to use and clean. I think they are a great idea and I love the simple design, but I only gave them three stars because I feel they bend too easily. When you are picking up a larger or clumsy piece of food, you have to squeeze a bit so you don't drop it. With traditional chopsticks, this is not a problem. These have a bit of a bend to them. I guess because they are one piece so the plastic needs to bend without breaking at the top, but I feel they should maybe be a little sturdier at the bottom. They are also great for getting things out of the toaster or toaster oven safely. My kids do really enjoy them.

I love these!
I wanted these because I snack at work and I hate getting snack dust on my fingers and having to clean my fingers before I could type again on the keyboard. I have hyperhydrosis and I have the opposite of dry skin, therefore snack dust really really sticks to my fingers. My coworkers laugh at me for eating my snacks with these tongs but I love it. I wish they were a little more stiff. The two ends will easily bypass each other so you have to concentrate somewhat when using them. They are a staple in my purse.

So cute!
My 6-year-old daughter wanted her own pair of chopsticks and these are cute. They are shorter than normal chopsticks. The white hollow plastic chopsticks can pull out of the rubber fortune cookie for cleaning or if your child wants to practice using chopsticks for real. But since the plastic is hollow, it does make them light and flimsy feeling, and they seem like they would be slippery for gripping food. My daughter has fun using them and likes to eat her California rolls and potstickers with them. :) We ordered two sets -- each set has a different fortune printed on the side of one of the chopsticks, which makes it fun too.

Cute and fun
These chopsticks are very cute and make a cute gift idea. The quality of the plastic is good. The "arms" are connected to the rubber "body" and do not have a hinge or anything to keep them parallel, and are only held in place by the rubber, which makes the a bit more difficult to maneuver, but this doesn't make the product hard to use.

Learner Chopsticks
Great idea for kids. The hands on the end of the chopsticks make using them easy and the constant dropping of food is greatly reduced. This item lost a star as the postal packaging was very poor which resulted in the internal packaging being damaged, but not the ChimpSticks. They are not cheap as chopsticks go, but they are unique, as far as I can see, so that makes them worth the price.

Not super sturdy
My 5 yr old has a hard time picking food up with this. They. The hands just slip to the side. Cute, but not really great.

These are brilliant, they do require some level of skill
These are brilliant, they do require some level of skill. Sometimes they do not quite pick up the food as the little hands miss. My 3 year old loves them, I would purchase again.
