Traxxas .8 Mod Spur Gear (50T) (Slash 4x4) by Get RC

i purchased this smaller spur gear (slash 4x4 stock is 54t) rather than getting a bigger pinion gear because I wanted to get the motor mounting position as exactly straight as possible. With this gear and a 13t pinion gear I was able to achieve that goal.If you wish to get larger pinion gears you can supplement with getting this smaller spur gear. Putting this spur gear in is like putting a 17t pinion gear if you have a 13t pinion. It also leaves a little more clearance inside the bulkhead incase something were to get inside. There is more room between the side and the gear reducing the chance of gears getting jammed if something were to get in there.As an example I was able to fit a 22t pinion gear with this 50t spur gear and still able to snap the gear cover in place without rubbing.
