The 73 Ram's head is known to be smoother than the V1 Triangle but with more dirt than the Black Russian. The thing that really sets the 73 Ram's Head apart is the incredible sustain you get with this pedal. It is designed for the guitarist who wants his ax to sing like a hummingbird, with sweet violin-like sustaining sound. The sustain control allows you to optimize long sustain with a hint of harmonic distortion. Hendrix relied on this BMP for his smooth, mellow, Electric Lady sound. A switch has been added for three mid-range options scooped (stock) as well as flat and boosted mids.

If you want to add Fuzz, buy this pedal!
I have a few Vick Audio pedals on my board. Each pedal is built to last with metal casings and sturdy nobs. The Rams Head delivers that gritty 70's Big Muff Fuzz sound made famous by David Gilmour from Pink Floyd. It's was also heavily used in the 80's and 90's punk and grunge bands. Whether you want to travel to the Dark Side of the Moon or start a mosh pit the Ram's Head is a great choice. I highly recommend!

My favorite Big Muff redroduciton
The 73 Ram's Head is my favorite pedal. It has that famous Big Muff fat sound and sustain and nails the Gilmour Wall era sound.
