Good review book.
It’s a review book, not a reference text, but if you have read the Brain Injury Medicine textbook this is a good review book to skim through a couple of times before taking the sub-specialty certification exam. Online access to more test questions is a great tool.

An excellent start
This was the single best resource I had come across during my fellowship training. The information is concise, practically worded, and the conclusions presented have generally been consistent with my independent review of the same topics in the literature, when applicable. Perhaps most importantly, the multiple choice questions are very relevant to the exam. It is not perfect in its first edition, but at the niche subspecialty level, I am not expecting the same level of polish available at the medical school level. There are a few topics that are duplicated in 3 or more chapters, and there is at least one occasion where the multiple choice questions from 2 chapters are contradictory (e.g. there are two conflicting questions on TBI biomarkers). There are also frequent typos and errors, but in my opinion these are things that can be overlooked. Overall I am very glad I used this resource and I look forward to the second edition where these flaws can be addressed.

Avoid Kindle version, content is otherwise good
Purchased the Kindle version because the hardcopy wouldn't be released before the 2020 BIM boards. Formatting on Kindle made referring to the answer key of the review questions cumbersome (half of the answers from a chapter are probably on one page in the hardcopy of the book, but on Kindle you'd have to flip through multiple pages to get to the second half of the answers). Also, some of the answers in the answer key are incorrect -- the explanation of the the answer gives the correct answer, but the multiple choice option does not correlate to the correct answer choice. Otherwise, the content of the book is good; wish the hardcopy could have been available before the test.

Great for board studying
Great book for board studying. There are not a lot of review books out there with questions. Great pictures and tables summarizing contents. Definitely recommend.

Good info, lots of errors...
This book was very helpful while studying for the BIM boards. However, there are many errors, redundancies, and contradictions in the text. That said- the errors are so obvious that you usually won't be led astray. The information in the book is generally pretty solid and provides a very accessible approach to BIM.I have a lot of respect for the editors of this book- but seriously, it's obvious that many of these chapters weren't edited or even read.Hey Cifu- all due respect, but you just don't have time for something like this. Don't put your name on this unedited and sloppily conglomerated work. I know you're reading this, so hit me up and I'll be an editor for the next edition. This one needs some help.-RS

Good start, terrible execution
If I could give this boon negative stars, I would. The information is inaccurate. It appears that the text was not edited. Useless if you are using it to study for a board exam.Hopefully, subsequent versions will improve.
