Very interesting but not complete
It is an interesting book and filled with lots of historical references but I am a big fan of Sir Alfred Hitchcock and his birthplace blue plaque in Leytonstone was left out of this book which makes wonder how many more did not make the cut. Granted, his birthplace was torn down, most unfortunately, and the plaque itself is on a wall outside of a petrol station but not all structures are extant. Lots of interesting items connected to Sir Alfred (local boy makes it really big!) are scattered throughout Leytonstone but that’s not the purpose of this book but I just wish his birthplace had been noted.

Interesting read
Received as a gift as I love visiting London. It’s a well laid out book, broken into sections with a map for each area plotting the blue plaques - it then gives a summary of the person each plaque relates to. Great for dipping in and out of.It does feel very heavy to me so I wouldn’t take it with me - probably take pics of pages on my phone if I’m going to a specific area. Very pleased with book though.
