High performance for low cost - with a few caveats
First off - I've had the Britgos for about 10 days. So I can't speak about the long term reliability or performance.I've been a hearing aid wearer since 2009. I've had both Bernafon and Resound hearing aids, both via Costco - the top of the line with both. My hearing loss is severe, in the 65-80 db loss range. I've been told I have some sensorineural loss. To be honest, I've never had a perfect aid and didn't really expect it- a disappointment I'll apparently have to live with, but not the fault of the aids themselves. It's just where the technology is at this point. The Britzgo surprised me with it's abilities at this price. It's also not perfect - but for 5% of the cost of the others I've had - WOW. At 5% of the cost and my estimated 70-75% of the performance, I consider these a good buy - again - without speaking of the long term performance or reliability. Batteries have not been changed in over a week now. A plus. Now - the negatives:1. Size - almost twice the size of my old HA's. 30% thicker...not good - tires my ears - makes 'em stick out a bit. I have larger ears and they're still visible, but I also shave my head, so there's that, too. ( SEE PHOTOS )2. I was used to a remote control with the others so doing volume up and down and changing programs was cumbersome to me. But to be fair - I got better with it after a few days. Still like the remote better.3. The chirps for program changes are very faint. ( to me) Same with volume changes up or down.4. Tubes - a little longer than I want but not a biggie.Overall, these devices --IF they hold up for a while-- are a good buy.UPDATE: July 2017. These are still going but look rough. Highly reliable for me, very few glitches. Long battery life, etc. When batteries get low the amplification suffers quite noticeably.Outstanding value and performance ratio. If these were half the size and had a remote at 2-4 times the price theyd be just about perfect.

Pretty good so far--One warning and an update
I have used these for only a few days, but am impressed. I have $2500 pair of hearing aids from one of the big membership warehouses. They were never satisfactory. When one quit working a while back I decided to look around. First I tried a $25 pair of in-the-ear hearing amplifiers, which worked ok, but squealed too often. After a bit of research I decided to give these a try. It took a while to figure them out. With the gain set too high, they squeal easily, especially if I am wearing a hat. Now they work better for me than the expensive aids did. My only concern is long term reliability. If they don't last, I will update this review. One caveat--ignore the "frequently bought together" note above. The LR44/AG13 alkaline cell mentioned there is NOT the correct one for these. After all the hassle of selecting the amplifiers I assumed that those who bought them with these amplifiers used them with those cells. After I received them I found my error. Look for type 13 or P13 cells.Update 5/12/16--The ear piece on one of the units has slipped out three times in the last few days. The amplifier then falls off. I'm going to have to find a way to make it stay.

Disappointed and Not truly worth the money
I was hoping for a product that would replace the $4000 ones i needed from my actual audiologist but these are definitely not it. There was so much feedback at first and it gave me a headache to use when I got that taken care of and the volume never can be turned down past this one point where its still too loud. I couldn't even pour cereal without it being too loud and this unfortunately was a huge problem. My hearing has more to do with something else, not volume like these are only set to do. They are not worth the $2700 they state they are worth, they are not. I have seen several models and tried them at my doctors, these are nothing compared to them. They do not fit with my glasses, they constantly have to be adjusted with them or they will fall off. The buttons are hard to push without moving the devices and that was hard to deal with when you are active. I was also disappointed in that fact that when I asked to return them, they ask for me to pay postage back. That I didn't see anywhere and would not have ordered them if I knew I would have to pay to send them back as well. Its wasting money on a product again I am returning. My two stars although are for people with a lot of volume loss in their ears, not something else like I have which needs to be corrected with a dr's device unfortunately. These would work for that reason. You can hear a pin drop in the next room. However for anything else, these are not recommended and I would not recommend them either for not paying postage back. As a business owner myself I know customer service is #1 on my list and I pay postage back for any product that does not live up to customers expectations. This company set out to help those with hearing loss do not see it that way and that is unfortunate. For anyone who needs aids for more than volume loss, do not buy these, they will not help.
