Never heard of an Apple Grater before!
I love the texture of grating apple in my morning oatmeal (along with blueberries, nuts, etc.) Mandolines scare me - afraid of shredding my knuckles. And I don't want to wake the neighbor while using the shred disk on my loud food processor. So, I though I would take a chance on this Apple Grater.The first time I tried it, it didn't work great - the apple was spinning, not grating. But I figured out the TRICK - you have to push the apple down hard, so it's locked in place at the bottom. Then just turn the top part, spiral grating the apple, as illustrated. Easy peasy cleanup, too. Basically just rinse it off with water. Glad I found this neat little gadget. I love it!

Robust, easy and fast to use and clean
This works exactly as described - the grated apples are cored and ready for muesli or apple pie (the Swiss way). I am a fan of Betti Bossy since growing up in Switzerland and their tools (and recipe books) are always robust, simple practical and working. Kind of the Swiss version of America Test Kitchen ... :) Highly recommended

Need to peel apple
It works a lot better if I peel the Granny Smith Apple I use for my Müsli.
