Check the space you will fit this into.. great item, but wide
This is a solid well made silencer. I've rated it based on its manufactured quality, as I can't fit it where it needed to go.I bought this to silence a cooker hood with an external motor. Ducts run between ceiling / floor joists.It is too large for me to fit between joists, as while it is a 150 / 6" diameter for connection, it's wider than this across the silencer box at 255mm. My ceiling joists would have allowed 6.5" to 7" max diameter - not much more than the 6 inch ducting the hood needs. It therefore won't fit in the space I've got and so I've returned it. If you've got the space this looks like it would do the job well - the other items I've bought made by blauberg are of good quality.

Reduces noise from ducting significantly
Just amazing really. I was expecting it but still can’t believe it 👌👌👌Measured with phone, the noise in shower with extractor on was 58db.After installation it went down to 45dbNow a second one onto extractor hood ducting ! I’m expecting the same magic result !! 🤞🤞🤞Pure magic !

Highly Effective
At the vent cover, the sound level reduced from 69dB to 47dB on highest setting on the fan (Manrose MF100) after fitting this silencer.
