This Interesting Book Tells About The History Of Fenway Park In Boston.
This interesting book tells about the history of Fenway Park in Boston. Here is some of the interesting information that this book mentions in it: Fenway Park's first opening day was April 20, 1912 which was five days after the sinking of the Titanic ship. John Taylor who was the President of the Boston Red Sox was largely responsible for the building of Fenway Park. On April 22 1931 at Fenway Park, while playing left field, Babe Ruth collapsed with what was described as a severe charley horse. New permanent lights were installed in 1947 allowing the Red Sox to play night games. The Boston Braves often used Fenway Park as their home between 1913 and 1915. Established in 1933, the Baseball All Star Game would not come to Fenway Park until 1946. Jose Santiago was the first pitcher to homer in his first World Series at bat.
