Hime Tempura Batter Mix, 10 Ounce (Pack of 12)

Battered foods need to be eaten within a couple of hours. Batter gets soft and soggy after sitting out. Has no taste. I had to add seasoning to the batter. It was bland.

The product description says "pack of 12" but they only sent one box. The product is actually good. It's the vendor who is the problem

MariaG packed the product from HIME packer warehouse, I believe. One of, if not, the best pack jobs I have ever seen! Truly the boxes were tightly sealed in wrap and encased in a cardboard wrapper. This product I have used for years...LOVE IT!!!! Easy to use and tastes great. My rating is a reflection of delivery. This time, I ordered 12 boxes and got...1!!!! Called customer service within 15 mins of delivery a d they are sending full order. Will look for full order to arrive this week. Note: dame problem mentioned in other comments at same time. Somebody is not reading at distribution center......

This product always provides the light, fluffy and crispy coating I have desired. I've used it when cooking vegetables such as cauliflower and broccoli with excellent results. Of course the primary usage is with shrimp, scallops and other seafood including salmon.When unable to find this product I have used other brands but could not get the same results. The coating is too heavy and does not "fluff and crisp" the way I like it.I now buy Hime Tempura Batter Mix online by the case to insure I have it available when I want it. My grocer is frequently sold out due to its apparent popularity.

Very happy to have this product again, has always been my go to but can't always find.

If you like light battered shrimp, veggies and fish fillets this batter is the way to go. You can adjust the thickness by the amount of ice water you add to the batter. Buying it by the case from Amazon keeps from having to scour the grocery stores aisles looking for it. I have beeen using this batter for many years and find it the least absorbing of grease.
