OXOGood Grips Zester and Grater

My zested stopped zesting. This time of year I use lemons and,Inez frequently, and I need a zester that works. This zester has sharp stainless steel blades, and it is very easy to use. I used it for a recipe with lemons, and I got more zest than normal. I also zest cheese frequently, and that is a good thing.It is easy to hand wash or put in the dishwasher.Recommended. prisrob 06-05-19

Why did I need a zester? Why did I need such a big one? Because I was using the wrong tool for the job and it was not successful! At first, I thought this one was almost TOO big. Now I only want to use this product and have even found myself staring at citrus in the grocery aisle when I don't even need any! This is an amazing tool. Once you get one, I believe you will think the same about it. The OXO Good Grips is built tough; it will last--especially if it is hand-washed--for a long while.

This has OXO product made me a zesting Queen! It is easy to use, just lay it on your cutting board and you can have a good quantity of zest in a snap. It's so easy to clean. I rinse it after use and use a scrubbing brush and voila! Clean in a quick minute. It's been a wonderful tool in all my recipes.

For some reason I've become addicted to adding lemon juice and the zest to most everything I'm eating these days, from soups, salads to some desserts. I was looking for a zester and decided on the OXO brand and have not been sorry. OXO is the hands down winner of many of the product tests on America's Test Kitchen and for good reason. They manufacture a good product at a reasonable price.The handle grip is firm, there is a non skid resting butt on top and the cutting surface is sharp. This gadget is excellent for citrus, hard cheese, garlic and I've even used mine to make tiny chocolate curls for the top of desserts and coffee.Use your imagination - this is a great tool

This zester replaced an old one that was no longer working as it should. This one is so easy to use both on Parmesan cheese as well as zesting lemons and limes. I love it. I only gave it 4 stars on cleaning because zesters are never easy to clean by hand, but when I put it in the dishwasher it comes out very clean.

I’m nearly 40 and I finally own something that can ZEST! Why did I wait this long? It’s changed my “ginger” game (Moscow Mules anyone!?!). Works great on lemon zest as well. That’s about all I’ve used it for so far, but I imagine I’ll find other uses.It’s durable (Oxo really never seems to miss the mark here) and nice to hold. It’s easy to clean and fits in my dishwasher. Doesn’t take up a lot of space.Great little kitchen tool.

Good solid well made professional-quality kitchen tool any chef would enjoy using. Has a couple of truly worthwhile features. First, there is a nice rolled rim that keeps the zest safely contained if you hold the citrus below .....extremely pleasant storage place to have. And, the small blades are angled so tightly you can run a finger down the row comfortably without cutting yourself....no rough spots to catch upon. Tool cleans easily, and has a handle just long enough so that you can maintain a sturdy grip. This is one of the best zester/graters I've ever bought I think.....VERY glad to have it. Warmly recommend both vendor and tool.

OXO is my favorite and this grater gets a lot of use in our kitchen from zesting lemons to finely grating parmesan over pasta. I've had this zester for a few years and it's a few times during the day for all sorts of tasks. It grates everything very finely and is fabulous for grating parmesan or pecorino over pasta and perfect for turning cinnamon sticks into fine powder. Clean up is always very easy, I have put this in the dishwasher many, many times and there are no signs of rust anywhere, still looks brand new. You should consider purchasing two of these because when one is in the dishwasher, you'll have the second one as back up.

stylish, functional, nice sharp teeth that grate fine curls of zest.I like the bent shape - allows it ti be laid on a cutting board instead of held in the air.I didn't give it 5 stars because it's not bi-directional. But it doesn't really matter.

I always thought zesting was supposed to be difficult and bought this version purely because I’m trying to have as many of my utensils match the oxo range but it glides through so much better than I thought and literally saves me time on cooking

Bought this for zesting lemon and grating garlic. It’s really sharp so it grates easily and convenient to hold over your mixing bowl.

Great product. I have used this as a zester for citrus and as a grater for both cheese and butter. Works great with butter if you are trying to bake fluffy biscuits or scones and you need to have the butter "chopped finely". I just grate it and throw it in the freezer for 15 mins to really solidify the butter. Works better than chopping it and increases the surface area. I get rave reviews on my scones!
