American Beauty SS-8 3oz Solder Sucker Bulb

Ok I did say it works and it does. Only small issue I've had and I bet it happens to them all, is it sometimes gets clogged and you need to use something small to poke it free. Other then that you cant beat the price and after I finally melt the tip cause I suck, I will be buying another one. I really don't suck, I just hold it right next to the soldering gun tip (tying not to touch the tip) as I heat up the component.

It worked well, but I'm not sure how long it will work well. The tip is made of plastic and seems to melt when it touched hot solder.

This thing works great! Some of the other suckers I've used for de-soldering were of the plunger-type. Those often require a fair amount of force to "reset" the plunger to get ready to suck some more. This can be hard and tricky to do one handed (as when you are holding a soldering iron in the other hand) and without rocking the work bench.This little bulb, on the other hand, is very easy to use one handed. It even sucks more solder, in volume, compared to my old solder sucker.I suppose you can use this to blow cool air when soldering instead of blowing on it. Health-wise I imagine that would be better than sticking my face in the solder fumes.

I am trying to use these instead of the spring-plunger type, because the plunger whacking back up scares my dog! These are OK, and the product itself is well constructed... but they just don't work as well. The rebound of the rubber just wont pull solder out of most places.Ah, well... the dog is getting used to the spring style.

A good and springy solder-sucker bulb with a good heat-resistant tip, unlike some others I've had. I find this bulb to be superior to any of the spring-loaded mechanical solder-suckers that I've tried in the past because it doesn't require resetting between each cycle and you can exert fine control over the level of suction.

Just what I needed. Unfortunately, with the shack closing everywhere, you can't find these locally. The price is a little bit higher, but still worth it. The bulb didn't have a very good feel, so I put the new tip in one of my old RS bulbs and it works like a charm.

I thought the tip was going to be porcelai. Or something more heat resistant.... nop, it melted quickly.

Works well, but wish they'd ship it with a second (the white part) tip. Just in case the first one gets ruined. Other than that, works great. I'd give it 5-stars if had 2nd tip.
