Died twice within two years
We had this LG model for about 7 years before it died and had to buy a new one (cheaper than fixing it), so we ordered this one from Amazon. After a few months, the thermal fuse died and had to be replaced, which LG provided under warranty. Now, not even 2 years after purchase, we have another issue and they want to charge $400 to come out and fix whatever is wrong with it (it seems to be the same issue). The original price was $369, so spending more than the original price just to have someone come out to repair it makes no sense. Ditch the LG and find something better. Obviously this model is a bust.

Bad microwave.
This is not a good microwave. The lights underneath of it are deficient the lights inside of it or deficient. The size that was advertised is not the size that came… The buttons are not very responsive… I am definitely dissatisfied with this particular Amazon purchase.

Had over 10 years.
Had it for 10+ years. No complaints. Now, when I open the door, the fan runs. It still works well despite that. Researching reveals that the fan running does not interfere with any other functions. After over 10 years, I feel I could expect some problem with it. It was, however, a pain to install by myself as the hole template was difficult to nearly impossible to use.

Just installed it. Reliabilty to be determined.
Installation template was impossible to use, so it takes a great degree of care to get the drilling locations on the cabinet correct. Other than that...and that was a pain....installation was ok. This model has a dark gray interior, in case you cared. My previous, identical looking LG, had a white interior. The audible alarm, telling you that the cook time is up...is way too loud, and cannot be silenced. Also the “reminder” audible is way too loud. When cooking, the unit is louder than the previous LG. This one does not have the “custom set” feature of the previous model. Also, the touch pad requires a really hard push. My previous model had their same issue. My previous LG model also could silence the alarm. From reviews I’ve read, reliability seems to a issue. Last LG lasted a good long time. I’m hoping this one does too.

Display Failed in 11 months!
The microwave was good for cooking, with some annoyances - most notably the very limited viewing angle on the display/clock. If you are slightest bit off to the side, can't read the last digit. The reheat options work well, bit if you stop to check food temp or stir, it resets so you need to reselect the reheat mode. But more importsntly, the display started flickering just under a year. It was Christmas, so I didn't check my warranty until after the holidays, at which point it had expired. It has since gotten progressively worse, to where no digit is viewable. Now I am stuck l either living with not being able to see what I'm doing, buying a new microwave, or calling a repairman, which will probably cost nearly as much as a new microwave.
