I purchased this item as a beginner, eager to learn a new skill and develop a new hobby. The single rating for this item gave it 5 stars and a very reassuring review. It was described as coming with 12 types of stitch, including a reverse stitch which convinced me it was a good choice for my needs and level of experience. The fact that it was slightly more expensive that similar items only served to reassure me, again, that I was buying what I needed.Everything in the kit was fine and undoubtedly reasonably made and presented. On checking, it was sadly revealed that it only comes with one choice of stitch and there is no reverse stitch facility. Had I known about this before purchase, I would have considered a different make and model, but what's been done's been done. It is too much of a hassle to return the item especially in light of the current lock-down and my own medical situation, so I guess I'll put it down to experience.

The product description and photos for this machine are incorrect. It does not have variable stitch length or do reverse stitch, zigzag stitch or button holes. Since I didn’t receive what was advertised I had to request a refund.And this is unfortunate because the actual machine is light, sturdy and easy to use! The size and red colour are lovely. It was delivered more quickly than expected and when I contacted the seller they responded quickly.The instructions included are written in slightly confusing English, but by following the pictures and looking at videos of similar mini machines on YouTube threading the machine, loading the bobbin and adjusting the tension were easy.If you want a really basic sewing machine that just does straight stitch this little machine is good, but very, very overpriced.The listing is incorrect and my refund was processed very quickly.
