Mercury Aluminium Craft Knife with 10pcs Snap-Off Blades

I'm not one to leave reviews normally, good or bad, too lazy I guess. However, I am stunned by the value of this knife and absolutely motivated to do what I usually wouldn't - write a reveiw!When I came across this product while searching for a knife to tackle a wallpapering job I was sceptical of the reviews and the description, I couldn't be sure it woud look and sound that good for that price. But I decided to go for it, in fact I ordered two just because it was such a good price.Having now received it and seen for myself the quality of this knife I can't understand why it's not three or four times the price. It looks and feels like a really well engineered piece of work, feels great in your hand, sturdy, strong and scalple sharp. The old plastic knife I'm replacing looks flimsy in comparison and yet is being sold on Anazon for a higher price. Obviously you're reading this because you need a craft/diy knife, do yourself a favour, stop looking and just buy this one!

For many years now I've used craft knives from the packs you can buy in the cheapo Chinese shops. They're very sharp the first time you use them and tend to break as soon as you expect them to do some more strenuous cutting. You know what I mean and I'm sure many have been there. I thought I'd look for something a bit more substantial and came across this Mercury Aluminium Craft Knife. As soon as you take it out of the packet and hold it in your hand you realise it is a far superior bit of kit. It feels substantial and very comfortable in your hand. The blades are incredibly sharp and you need to exercise a great deal of care when using it. It comes with 10 extra blades and hopefully will last long enough for them to be used. I liked it so much I bought another straight away. At the price I paid £3.99 they are an absolute bargain.

It makes a change to have a craft knife that feels nice in your hand, being metal it has a nice weight to it and feels so much better to use than the normal flimsy plastic ones.The knife itself is good quality but I do find the blades which are sharp to start with blunt very quickly hence only four stars

I've had many craft knives over the last 20 years. This is by far the best.It's going to take a little while to get used to gripping it as it is heavy. If I were right handed it would probably be a little easier.This knife cut through 425gsm cold pressed watercolour paper with ease on the first go. The blade doesn't slide around as many I have had do and the 10 replacement blades are a bonus. Should keep me going for a good while!

Metal construction is very solid. Extra blades supplied. Mechanism is smooth. Blades are sharp . Excellent product 5 star recommendation at a fair price.

I've been promising myself a new box cutter, which is what this is to my mind. I'm forever using the wrong implements to open boxes so now I have the right one! It's great and does the job I bought it for.

For the price charged, this craft knife is incredible value. Well made, firm grip, and a smooth and slick action! AND you get 10 spare blades, too! Best value craft knife around.

I cannot believe what fantastic value for money this craft knife is. it replaces one I had for 30 years. Very well made super quality and tactile to use.
