Very impressed!!!
I ordered this on a Wednesday and it was at my door the following Monday! Absolutely shocked! I have ordered a lot of big machines and never have I experienced such fast shipping nor have I ever heard of anybody receiving their machine that quickly!Speaking of shipping, the price on Amazon may be higher than eBay, but for me it ended up being cheaper because I wasn’t charged taxes, residential delivery and lift gate services on Amazon. Everything was included and not a cent more.Crate came in perfect condition (which was another surprise). Unboxed it and the machine was flawless. Now when I say flawless let me clarify by saying that there were a few small scratches, but if you’ve bought these types of Chinese CO2 lasers before you’d know that it’s common for them to have some sort of blemish considering that it’s travelled a long ways to get here so it’s bound to have bumps and bruises. Now on to the machine. I ordered this specific model because it appears to be a new design for 2020... I only seen this chassis pop up early this year, but in the bigger 1390 class. This is in the 6090 class but with the cleaner look than the earlier more boxy style that’s come out of China for the last half decade. It looks a lot better and cleaner in person! I’m really liking this design as it’s a lot more stylish AND robust. Less looseness than the previous design. All the latches feel nice and solid as well as the doors. The huge clear viewing area that is the entire size of the front door/hatch is awesome!!! Much better than the small windows of before. The best thing of all is after unboxing and checking everything over, nothing needed adjustment. All the wires were tight, water lines are zip-tied, every screw, nut and bolt perfect. Mirrors aligned as well.Comes with both knife bed and honeycomb as description states. Working area is indeed 24”x36” but the actual bed is much bigger than that so you can work with larger material as there’s room to move things around in there (maybe 30”x42” ish). There however are NO pass through slots. Which is strange as pretty much all models have that feature. I looked to see if it can be modified for it but no, without cutting into part of the frame. It wasn’t important to me as I have another smaller machine with that feature and used it maybe once. The new Ruida controller is awesome. I’m really liking it a lot. More than all the other controllers so far. Of course works with Lightburn perfectly just as long as you set the origin to top right. No upside down or mirrored preview on this one.Has a built in exhaust fan leading out to a 6” hose which actually works awesome because of the design of it. It has an addition tube on the inside of the machine that sucks air through the bottom of the hopper style bed, then goes out. I’ll be adding a more powerful inline fan only because I’m venting to a carbon filter. If you weren’t doing that, the built in exhaust fan is more than adequate. Also has built in air pump that works as advertise. Only thing is you won’t be able to adjust the air flow. I normally don’t mess with that anyway with what I cut so it isn’t important. But nice to know that that’s 2 things that you don’t have to have sit outside the machine with separate plugs. So only thing is the aquarium pump and bucket (which they include as well). I however run a chiller so I didn’t use those.Very quiet machine. Quieter than my Glowforge even. This is due to the built in fan and air pump. Very impressed.Operation is typical of any 80w laser. Another neat surprise was that the tube is an EFR tube! I know in the description it doesn’t mention that anywhere, so I was expecting a cheap no name tube (which I’d replace down the line). Description says tube life is up to 3000 hours. So it was awesome to find it’s equipped with an EFR F2 tube which is rated for up to 7000 hours, and manufacture date of April 2020!! Again, very impressed and happy about that!If you want to add a rotary attachment then know that it takes the 4-pin round connector style. So I better wrap up this long review. But bottom line is this machine is very very good and for the price I feel it may now take the cake as the best bang for your buck dollar for dollar (based on my personal experiences with dozens of machines in many different price brackets).

Pretty darn good for the price
We previously had a Glowforge but it began shedding parts after 12 days of ownership so we got a refund. We then ordered another high end, much larger laser from another company but it won't be here for several months. We decided to get one of these smaller units to use in the interim and so far, so good. I must admit that I had somewhat low expectations since I've read that these "Chinese" lasers require some tinkering and that has been true to some degree. We have been pleasantly surprised so far after owning it for 3 weeks. The mirrors came pretty well aligned so I didn't have to do any adjustments to them. It hasn't been perfect though. We began having a problem with one of the power buttons for the laser but my husband got it working again for now. We will likely need to replace it at some point so I took a star off for that. I also wish that it came with a crumb tray so that was an extra expense but I knew that before I bought it. Other than that it has been working well and I have cut quite a few things almost every day for the last 3 weeks. One example is the pen cup in my photos. I also added a photo of the size. It's fairly large but my husband and I were able to carry it up some stairs with the help of a dolly. I will be sure to update my review when I have used it some more.

Great machine at a great price
We bought this machine as an entry into laser etching for trophies that need a lot more detail than we are able to plasma cut to a reasonable size. We got it set up and running within a day. My husband has been randomly etching things since. The lightburn software is very easy to learn. It came much sooner than the expected delivery date. We are finding some powders burn off much better than others, and it's a good idea to wipe them off with acetone right after you pull them out of the machine so you take off the haze and not the powdercoat. All in all were very happy with the machine so far.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!
No one will answer your phone call, I have been trying to figure out why my brand new laser will not work and I can't get any help. I have an email that I will get one response from one question every other day. There response is send us a video and then they say it wasn't good enough, I will send them a new video and I wont hear from them for two or three days. Absolutely HORRIBLE!!!!

OMTech is not very service oriented.
Item arrived damaged. I exchanged numerous e-mails with OMTech, I asked for a replacement front panel, they determined a small refund (less than 5%) was adequate. The unit would not operate without several repairs (Bad Laser Power Switch, Damaged Safety Interlock), I was able to repair those myself. There are several YouTube videos on how to operate this machine, so the poor use of english in the manual becomes a non-issue. Lightburn was included as an alternate RDWorks, a huge improvement over the original operating program. I would recommend OMTech over buying a straight Chinese machine over the internet, at least you will have a US contact for issues, but don't expect them to answer the phone. Buyer beware.

Over priced for what your getting from a Chinese laser
Had to return the machine due to the machine being severely damaged and the not so damaged crate didn’t match the machine damage. The unit I received was damaged and put into a new crate then shipped to me. No proof but it’s clear what happened. I ended you getting an HL1060 and saved over $1,300.

Transporting machine is 2 person job
This laser actually exceeded my expectations. Just FYI, if you live in an apartment especially on a floor other than the 1st make sure you have someone to help you. It’s a large machine and easily a 2 person job to get up stairs. So far I have been very pleased with the quality of the machine. It came properly aligned and everything was packed securely.
