Bent over one time & the crotch ripped out of them.

These are great tights. Be aware they are very tight control tops, even if you order the right size. Copy and paste this link to see a size chart: [...] They are meant to offer compression for your whole legs because dancer`s legs have to work hard and they get sore! The sizing system is smaller because dancers are generally slimmer. So the dance supply companies have no need to use vanity sizing. (i.e. make make today`s size 14 fit like last year`s size 16).That being said, I an active and fit size 14 and I am glad Capezio offers plus-size tights even though I don`t generally have to buy plus-size pants. And since I have chronic pain from Fibromyalgia, I find the compression helps my legs be less sore. While these are not super sheer and silky, they don`t like your grandma`s compression stockings. I think the color is a little orangey for my tastes (light suntan), but that seems to wear off after a couple of washes. I hate shaving my legs, so I was disappointed these don`t cover my hair well enough to hide my leg hair. Maybe my hair is darker and coarser than other reviewers.I generally keep three pairs of these on hand and wear them with skirts 3-4 times a week. They comfortable to wear all day, but they are not very breathable. I have to wash them after one use to prevent them from getting stinky. :( I hand wash them in hot water, laundry detergent and a few drops of tea tree oil, then drip dry. Even with such rigorous use, they usually last 4 months.

When I put these on, I was a little but concerned with how difficult it was to do so, but once I got them on and adjusted, they looked great. I was honestly surprised by how well they fit because I am both tall and curvy, but the sizing is pretty perfect for me. Bonus: the control top is much more effective than other brands.

I’m 5’6 215lbs and am glad I got the 3x. I think the fit of the tights is perfect, but my waist was SNATCHED in those. I have an hourglass figure, but that waistband is tight (not a complaint- just a very noticeable observation.) The light suntan color is excellent for my skin tone... I am relatively fair skinned. My only beef is that the crotch region tore after a couple wears. In its defense, I am an extremely physical actor and bought these for a show. I think it was the repeated cartwheels and high kicks that did it. The other women in my show had the exact same tights with no ripping because they were doing very standard musical theater/simple jazz combos, so I think for easy level of choreography, they will probably hold up. But if you’re doing splits, leaps, etc., they will probably rip.

Too expensive to have them rip when trying on. Not sure if my pair was defective or just cheaply made. I have ordered from them before and gotten way better quality, however they discontinued the ones I liked.

Glad to find tights for use as sturdy pantyhose (for those of us who can even remember pantyhose!). I am tall so I always purchase at least a size up based on BOTH height and weight (from experience). These, however, seem to run unusually small--so I would size up TWO sizes if I purchased again. I will say that the "light toast" is more like "suntan". If you are looking for pale or beige, low-key tights these won't fit the bill. As others have mentioned, they are rough/scratchy out of the package. I wore them without trouble, but certainly have never had scratchy tights before. They do soften up a bit after washing, but these are a bit atypical. Still looking for a classic tight with spandex in a lighter tan or beige.

Since I find reviews with measurements to be the most helpful, let's start with that: I am presently 5'6" tall, with 54" hips, 31" inseam, 29" thigh, and 19" calf measurements. I ordered the 2X. For the record, I loathe tights and pantyhose, generally because they stretch so tight across my thighs that my inner thighs invariably chafe unless I'm wearing bike shorts, too. But I was recreating a movie costume, and had to have sheer-to-waist, black hose/tights, with hi-cut dancer briefs.I am SO glad I chose to spend the money for this set of tights!! Not only did they have a fit that tapered/widened just enough to accommodate my curves, but they were thick enough to prevent the chafing, AND proved their durability when I took a face-long header exiting a scene in blackout... And this was no typical stage, either. We were outdoors, in a cemetery, with dry grass, shifting dirt, and flat bronze grave markers; the tights took the dirt, the scraping, and an upper thigh impact with a grave plate without so much as a snag. My thigh bruised spectacularly, but the tights will serve again!

Terrible, Ripped putting them on so couldn't even send back. Threw them in garbage. Terrible Terrible. I woul give zero stars if I could

I'm 5'10" and 190lbs, usually a size 14 in clothing. I ordered the 3X since I really needed these to not pull in at the waist/hips for cosplay.First of all, I don't know what they mean when they say 'plush', but there's nothing plush or soft about these. They're scratchy and harsh, and waistband has extremely limited stretch as well as being very rough elastic.Second, the gusset was about two to three inches below where my crotch was. I bought the 3X in hopes that it would work length-wise. Nope.Third, it was a struggle to get these on past my thighs. I have thick thighs, but not THAT thick.The only real reason this isn't a 1-star review is because the tights didn't run when I was trying them on and got a thread stuck.

I followed the size guide and I cannot even get these on. Disappointing!
