Sacrifices
Great continuation of the series. We even though I will always be a Luke Skywalker fan, I am really glad the the other characters got more time in this issue.I have to say I do find Commander Ellian Zahra very interesting. I thought she would just be a Disney's version of Admiral Daala. I a way she is hurt her combat skill and precision in make a shot a computer finds impossible make me belive there is much more to her. Issue 6/chapter 1 is mostly her origin story. The book is full of sacrifice and hard decisions. Especially by the rebels. It also shows me, why Leia always had such high Hope's for Po (though he is not in this book).Another character that is do e very well is Lando. I will be first to admit I am not the biggest Lando fan, but I really like the way they are bringing the character along slowly. He has not suddenly decided to join the rebels, in fact he is looking for every opportunity to leave, on top of that his swindler nature is still alive and well. He is no way near the general he is the become by return of the JediI really can't wait for the next book. I want to see the rebels take the offensive and is possible a couple of re-matches. In close combat.

Episode 5.2
“Star Wars – Operation Starlight” collects issues 7-11 of Star Wars “Phase Two” – which, after forty years, finally takes the main series into the post-“Empire Strikes Back” galaxy. (Other series may have been here, but I haven’t read them; I am not a Star Wars fan, per se, but I read the Marvel titles because they have been written by Marvel’s top writers, and the first Doctor Aphra and Darth Vader series have been superb.)This really is a new look and feel for the main Star Wars title, and Marvel seems to have been given a free hand to boldly go where no comic-book has gone before with the characters. We are now established in this continuity, and though the main plot is Battlestar Galactica – rebel fleets on the run from overwhelming enemy pursuit – there are a number of sub-plots to give everyone screen-time.A new Imperial Villain is unleashed, whose back-story ties in to Moff Tarkin, and who is out for revenge on Princess Leia, and with numerous references to ‘modern’ film continuity as well as the writer’s own previous Darth Vader series; there is some Droid-related stuff, a new to me, and a new “commando” flight, run by (I’m assuming) Poe Dameron’s parents. The story is a bit melodramatic in places, though not by Star Wars standards, and some things are telegraphed ahead of time, and some are a bit heavy-handed, for this writer at least. The art is a bit bland also - just standard CGI-style graphics. This is a reasonable Marvel Star Wars volume, though there have been better, and there have been worse.
