Great value for the money
This is a great little skateboard. We did upgrade the wheels but it’s a great value for the money spent

Daughter and son love it
Glad I didn't pay big prices from skate shop. This is perfect for adult and kids. Would recommend tightening trucks. Solid and cool art and good hardware

Great birthday gift for a tall beginner.
Not as cool as the hoverboard BUT…This is a full size skateboard, not great for children who still use a booster seat only because it’s size.A child under 4’5” would struggle with the bigger size.My 10 year old Bonus daughter was asking for a skateboard all summer so we decided to try this one since she’s almost my own height! It’s sturdy enough for a taller child that’s for sure. She rode it a few times and went back to the hoverboard but overall it might need new wheels because the ones it comes with seem a little stiff. All in all it was a good purchase for the summer, she is still figuring out how to balance and push the board but enjoys going on small ramps. I’m guessing she will use it when the hoverboard battery is charging?

Not a bad complete
I bought this complete only because I liked the graphic.I was EXTREMELY surprised when I rode it for the first time. This deck is WAY better than any other inexpensive deck I've come across. And the trucks actually turn, unlike most others. The wheels aren't bad.The bearings on the other hand, they weren't the best out of the box. I pulled them out, took off one shield and cleaned out all of the grease. Every review of cheaper skateboard bearings I've seen say that they don't spin. The problem is that most bearings are made for industrial use. And they pack them full of grease. If you clean them out, then lubricate them with some light oil, they spin well. Some cheaper bearings have a metal race. The better ones have a plastic race. Or you could buy some Bones Reds to swap out, that'll be easier. But for what I paid for this complete, I was REALLY happy. I'd say for a beginner or anyone who just wants to ride, this is a great board.I'll probably buy more Cal-7s in the future.

great board with the quality of one double the cost
I've been grinding cement for nearly 15 years and I have a ton of rigs, this one is just as good as one of my better (more well known) boards.

Good for beginners, but bad grip tape application. ABEC 5 bearings
Is this a decent board for beginners? Yes, deck is sturdy truck bushings are a little soft for my taste but it is spaced to stop wheel bite. What that means there are spacers under the metal trucks (wheel brackets) to give distance between the board and wheels when you ride. This prevents the wheels from hitting the deck when you lean and/or turn.Value? Wheel good value 7ply deck and arrives assembled. The board I received had poor grip tape application as seen in pictures attached. Does this change how you ride? If your trying to position and you can’t rotate your feet because you are hitting this ridge left in the grip tape.Sturdiness? States 7ply maple, I didn’t count the ply because it may well be 7 but could also be the thinnest maple ply money can buy and be junk.Overall- I bought this for my son as his first new board, he is 11, and was extremely excited to receive this to the point his first ride was in the dark on our driveway when I got home from work. I gave it a once over checked the king pin trucks and wheels to ensure everything was together properly. One thing I know is not in the description for this board is the bearing rating. This came with ABEC 5 bearings. Brand unknown, definitely steel not ceramic. Didn’t expect them to be either.Base line- definitely worth the price trucks seem to be good quality but may change bushing and get carbon kingpin paired with some Bones bearings. This would tighten it up a little for a heavier person my son is a decent size and the board is good for him he already weighs 110. Rating on this set up says it go to 210 or so but anything over 150 would seem to be excessive with this exact setup. For a beginner anyway. Some have complained about the graphics peeling, I would not really call this a show piece board, and it is definitely not a cruiser. This is meant to hit skate parks and grind, Ollie and basically learn to be a better skater. With that in mind most skaters know if your at a park, and see the same kid or skater with perfect graphics they are new to skating. A board like this is meant to be broken in and have the slide marks grind grooves across the graphics and trucks. For the money it is definitely worth it for a new comer to skating. Better than big box boards.About the ply- there are decks that state 7,9,even 12 ply this really doesn’t mean much unless there is quality behind the ply and board. I say this because when I was my sons age I made my own board when my big box board broke as a kid. We couldn’t get another one but we had an old piece of Georgia pine ply wood. I got my dads hand saw and cut the ply wood In the shape of a popsicle board and soaked it in water for a few days to bend the tail and dried it out in the sun. It was thick and bulky but it was mine. That set up lasted over five years until I could afford a new maple blank. By the time I could get a regular a deck it seemed so light and flimsy I thought I was going to break it every time I got on. It wasn’t a bad deck I just became accustomed to a heavy board made out out of 1/4 plywood. In comparison about 5 ply Georgia pine ply wood we had that was bought at a hardware store.

Good beginner's skateboard
Good beginner's skateboard. My kid like it and it's still around. Kid is not that interested with it though. Nothing wrong with the skateboard.
