Return to Castle Wolfenstein - PC

I pre-ordered rtcw when I first saw it advertised on Amazon.com (where else?), and it finally arrived. Wow! The graphics and sound are amazing, and it's more fun to play than I can describe here. I have been a Wolfenstein fan since the DOS version of years ago, and this new version delivers all it promised, and more. Even the "easy" skill levels are very challenging. One possible drawback for some users, as mentioned in some other reviews is that it has fairly demanding system requirements, especially in the video area. It also requires 800MB of uncompressed hard disk space. Review the system requirements carefully before breaking the seal on the package. I am running a Pentium II, 400 mhz with Windows Me, 384MB RAM and 64MB nVidia 3d video in 1024x768, and the game performs perfectly. I strongly recommend this game to anyone who likes challenging and violent games.

paid $40 and got no cd key for installation and try contacting and no reply

I'm not a big game player but used to really enjoy the original Wolfenstein so thought I'd try Return to Castle Wolfenstein. It is much more complex than I expected but that is half the fun. Great graphics, entertaining, and makes me realize I've been missing out on a good, relaxing game to sit back with.

But only after many searches in blogs to find the reason it would not start. Windows no lingers Carrie’s a driver required. After fixing that, all was good. Delivery was as described as was condition.

Played these wolfenstein games in early 90's and love them . want to play again. The copy I ordwered through here was half way installed when the computer crashed with a memory virus. can't say if it was this copy or not but timming wasn't good.

will not load with windows 7.

The disk wouldn't work so I never did get to play this game. The vendor was good about refunding me though, which kept this in the "good experience" column. My thanks go to the vendor. Hopefully, I'll get a chance to play this game someday.

Awesome game! I'm running it on windows 7 and at first it wouldn't run so I did some research and found you need to download some files and patch to make it work. It's an amazing game, especially considering how old it is. Exactly what I was hoping it would be.
