Awesome cable
This cable works pretty well at the fraction of the cost of Land Rover’s oem cable. I have a 2011 Land Rover LR4 with the entertainment package.I’m using it to plug in my iPod Classic and it works great. I get full functionality of the cable. Just know that the cable is just the interface to connect the iPod to the head unit and the head unit controls only the music. You can view your playlists, artists, albums, genres, and such without messing with the iPod. The only thing I don’t like about the head unit is that you can’t play movies off of it. I have a plethora of legally owned and digitally downloaded movies onto the iPod, which I can’t play using this interface. If you’re attempting to play movies off of your iPod, this cable won’t do it. You’ll need to get a different cable (search ipod video cable) and plug that into the auxiliary inputs of the vehicle. Also, by doing so it will ONLY play in the rear seats and can ONLY be controlled through the iPod. Not a great choice, because I need to control the iPod without taking my eyes off the road.Just know before you buy, this cable is great for enjoying music through your iPod. It doesn’t play video through it or rather it doesn’t allow your vehicle to choose movie titles. It’s not the cables fault just the limitations of the vehicle with this interface.

the good news is it works to play music and charge ...
the good news is it works to play music and charge the phone. the bad news is the cord quality sucks. this is my second cord in one year for a 2012 rr and the stupid plastic housing keeps breaking apart. i purchased this second one in october; it's feb 16 today. seems better to use an aux cord or use the usb port and load music onto a thumb drive than to buy new cables all the time.

Connects iPod to Range Rover A/V port
Good solution for iPod connection at a good price.Works well with iPod Nano -- Doesn't work at all with iPod Touch.

Great cable - as good as the expensive one you get at Land Rover - keeps the iPod charged and can use steering wheel controls!
Works great; as advertised. The cable plugs right into our 2011 LR4 (center console compartment, plug right next to the USB port). We have an older classic iPod that is loaded with a massive music library of thousands of songs. The cable keeps the iPod continuously charged, plus you can use the steering wheel controls to navigate and control the iPod (and the iPod's contents show up on the main navigation touch screen, so you can browse the iPod by using the LR4's touch screen; very nice). Not a complaint, but the product was shipped for free from Amazon in a large cardboard box, and was mounted in the box as if I had ordered a delicate electronic device. It is safe to say that the cable should arrive in a great condition!Very highly recommended - works just as good as the cable that costs over $100 at the Land Rover dealer.

Dead on arrival
Got the cable for my Jag XF 2009 , and the head unit not even recognize that there was something connected ..Tested it on my wife's Land Rover and I got connected once, but with no audio .. tried some other times and nothing.Using the original LR cable on both cars and everything worked fine ..Seems that the cable is damaged, broken or interrupted somewhere. Its a shame as such expensive cable is not properly tested before packed and shipped.Very disappointed with it.

Works fine when it stays plugged in.
Cord works ok when it actually stays plugged in. I had a similar auxiliary cord that I purchased thru Land Rover that just wore out over time and purchased this one for about 1/2 the price. It doesn't stay plugged in well at all so constantly having to adjust it if the phone ever moves while it's plugged in. Guess you get what you pay for.

It works the same as $192 Rover dealer cable
You must go to eBay and buy a proper-era iPod (30 pin connector) to get the year of your Rover aligned with the tech year of iPod/iPhone (your new phone needs to interface via Bluetooth - there are adapters with cables for that - about $95), bu this inexpensive cable puts a Range Rover logo on my iPod2, keeps it charged, and all the songs, artists and other categories are touchscreen items on the in-car Audio-Video system. In short - it works with the right generation iPod.

Works flawlessly in Jaguar XKR
This does absolutely everything that the prior two cables that I tried did not.... it connects my iphone AND it charges it in my 2010 Jaguar XKR. The prior two cables I bought, one charged it but would not be recognized and the other synced but did not charge. Finally a real solution that works. I use this with my iphone 5 and the lightning adapter by apple. Do not hesitate to buy.

Works on my Rover!
Works on my 2011 Range Rover Sport Supercharged. I tested it with an iPhone 4s. I also tested it using the official Apple lightning to 30pin adapter on an iPhone 5s and iPhone 6s. All worked great. The cable seems very strong as well.

Great product!
Fabulous product! I'm so pleased with it, it's a bit more expensive than some of the others but its well worth the cost, it does all I wanted it to! I've used this for a couple of months now and it hasn't given me any problems. I would definitely recommend it. Only thing I would change if I could, would be a shorter lead- in my car anyway (Range Rover Sport) - would probably be good for some others though!
