Adorably Sweet Book!
We checked this book out from the library many, many times before deciding that it needed to be a part of our collection. My boys, who are currently 2.5 yrs old, LOVED this book-- dogs, apples, quirky-cute illustrations, a storyline that they can grasp (to share, or not to share-- isn't that the theme of every toddler's life?)-- a great book. Better than that, it's a book that I don't mind reading to them, over and over again, as kids will frequently want! The basic storyline is that Peanut, the "Odd Dog" of the title, loves apples, and wants to protect the apples that grow on his apple tree. However, he notices that one of his apples, a deliciously perfect apple, is growing over the fence and is in danger of being stolen by his neighbor, Milo. I won't give away the ending, but suffice it to say that he discovers a lot about the joys of having nice neighbors and being the odd dog who loves apples instead of bones like everyone else. It's a very sweet book that I would happily give as a gift to most any child, and one I am very happy to have as a part of our home library.

Very Cute books for Kids
Maybe I love this book so much because I know a dog named Peanut who hates to share. This is a good story for kids to show them that it is better to share with friends than to be selfish. It is about a dog who loves her apple tree and apples but hates that the dog next door could possibly eat one of them. The drawings are really cute. I highly recommend.

Great book
I think the story and illustrations are super adorable. I love that the dog is really concerned about his personal property and what the neighbor dog is doing, which seems to be a common theme with younger children. The reason that I can't give it five stars is that my kids haven't asked for it since we read it initially.

Gorgeous book
I bought this for a friends little boy, but only because my little girl already has it and we LOVE it, the story is lovely and teaches about sharing, and the illustrations are just gorgeous, would highly reccomend from age 1 upwards.
